Bob’s Furniture… an absolute disappointment, from start to finish. They were prideful in their company, which one should be, but for all the wrong reasons. When we addressed our concerns, their leadership team treated us as if we, the customers, were in the wrong for their shortcomings. They were very assertive and aggressive in their approach, which should have been a red flag within itself about how the rest of our experience would pan out. The ONLY person who was genuine in his services and concern for the company's false promises and expectations was Gilbert, the only one excluded from this review. Upon completing a bulk purchase including a dining set and several recliner sofas, we were told we could expect our products by X date, since the dining table set and the recliner sofas were going to be delivered separately, but each as a unit. We understood the terms and were prepared to make accommodations. The date arrived for the dining table, and a 3rd party delivery company did as told and delivered our “dinning table”. They delivered ONLY the chairs. When we called the store to ask about the table we had purchased, they told us that the table was on back order and that it would arrive sometime in February, mind you the original purchase was made early December 2023. At no point from the initial purchase to the partial delivery were we notified of this. When we asked the store what recourse they were planning to offer, they told us they would offer us a temporary table until our desired one was available/delivered. Come late December comes the date for our several recliner sofas… the 3rd party delivery truck arrived with ONLY 1 of 2 couches. It is then that we asked the delivery truck to keep the product in their truck until we could get more information regarding the rest of the sofa. We called the company, and again, the other couch would be [hopefully] delivered mid-February. The gentleman who attempted to deliver our products told us that today alone, we were one of SEVERAL other customers who refused to accept the purchased products because all their orders were incomplete, too. Sadly we were not surprised, so we decided to rescind our purchase immediately and sever any/all ties with Bob’s. As we continue to remodel and update furniture in our several homes, we know that Bob’s will never receive further business from us nor any referrals for our friends, family and colleagues. We are not people to wish bad on anyone or anything, but given this economy and our shared frustrations and experiences with Bob’s, we don’t see longevity in Bob’s Furniture’s future. Best of...
Read moreAfter our 1st visit we decided to purchase a sofa , turned out to be the worst furniture buying experience. The sofa had horrible gaps and didn't line up properly. A replacement would not be sent until visual inspection by a technician. We arranged for someone to be home and when the guy came he didn't even look at anything and said that's how it is mad made to give space to put your hand down to recline. We got their customer service involved and no help just run arounds. She would not respond to any questions or any emails from me but only from those that came from my wife even after she informed customer service that all communication will be with me and no longer her. And still I have yet to receive any emails from the rep. When the 2nd replacement came. The gaps were worse and color was off. The delivery guys were even given the run around when they called in to customer service about the issues on the replacement section. And now it was time for another tech to come and inspect. We waited all day until we got a phone call from him after the appointment window that he had car trouble. He did show up and was very apologetic, things happen so I wasn't upset of the delay. He said that the color is way off and the gaps should not be there. I told him I went to other locations and the same sofa does not have gaps in their displays and the multiple locations. He stated that they are built differently due to having to have people trying out the furniture all day long. That just isn't right build better for display but sell and deliver horrible quality for customers. I asked for management so I can discuss the issues and was given the run around. Asked for the sales person and never called back. I wanted a full replacement and inspection done before delivery and they declined. We are stuck with furniture that is cheaply built. We were told that there would be a credit coming to our account and that never came through. I have all emails between my wife ,the customer service representative and myself. They will be in my complaint to consumer affairs/ better business bureau. Stopped by for the 1st time. Greeted as we walked in and didnt feel pressured. They have great displays. The sales associate who helped us purchase our nearly $2000 sofa set was nice, but the customer service afterward was absolutely abysmal.
We needed to wait two months for our sofa set to arrive, which we accepted. The sofa arrived with a defect where one sectional had a visible tear in the fabric, and the chaise had a visible oil stain. We had to schedule an appointment with customer service for a technician to come and verify the defects, so that was more waiting. We accepted that.
The technician came, verified everything, and through customer service, a replacement was ordered for only the sectional with the fabric tear. We needed to wait ANOTHER two months for that replacement to come. We were unhappy with the wait, but we accepted it.
When the replacement sectional arrived, it was to our huge disappointment that the color was completely off from the rest of the sofa set - even the deliveryman acknowledged that the color was off, but he told us to contact customer service for solutions, as it was out of his control. Understandable, but this is where it gets even more frustrating.
We had to call numerous times, initiate everything ourselves, and in the end, Bob's Discount Furniture took absolutely no responsibility for providing any satisfactory service for our very expensive sofa set.
All we wanted was for the sofa set to be replaced to ensure that we had a sofa without defects and had matching colors. If that wasn't possible, then we wanted a refund. That was all we asked for.
Bob's Discount Furniture's customer service repeatedly refused to provide us with that solution, and I don't understand why! Why is it so hard to do that? What sense does it make to sell a sofa set that doesn't even match? How could anyone be satisfied with that??
Customer service was a nightmare. They constantly asked, "how may we help you?" and absolutely did not help us at all.
I do not recommend Bob's Discount Furniture to anyone. The in-person team at the store may be nice, but if you're unfortunate to receive defective furniture, then the entire process from start to finish of getting replacements is a...
