Brand new store in Westminster. This is a Korean store with many Asian grocery choices. They even carry candy and snacks imported in from other countries. We bought the orange chocolate Kit Kat and the dark cocoa Kit Kat. Additionally we bought the Turtle Shell BBQ chips. All were amazing in flavor. The dark cocoa was not too sweet and the orange chocolate has a nice citrus taste that doesn't over power the chocolate. The turtle shell chips were super crunchy and not overly greasy. I think I prefer these now over American chips. The store itself was clean but you will smell the seafood as soon as you walk in. I did not like that they barricaded the aisle next to produce to force everyone to go all the way to meat section before you could roam through the store. It was super crowded in the produce area due to the forced pathway. Prices were pretty reasonable for some things and others seemed to be a little cheaper elsewhere, like any store. They had a huge selection of Spam, noodles and rice. They also have a food hall near the front exit area. Note the food hall does close early so we were not able to enjoy most of it. Although we did get tea from the first place at the front entrance of the food hall. There were also a couple of spots that were not ready to open yet. We will definitely return again after the business calms down. It's so busy on some days, people are parking at Target and...
Read moreHorrible customer service, what is wrong with the ladies giving FREE SAMPLES????? They are supposed to be giving free samples but the lady in black kept chatting with the other lady and when a kid approached to ask for a sample the lady in all black yell no at the poor kid!! After, we continue walking around we came back to that aisle and decided to try the tea samples she was giving and she got mad that my kids and I try a sample each, are these people paying out of their own money for the product samples??? Why talk back about your customers in korean assuming we don't understand?? So unprofessional saying my kids probably don't get fed and that is why they want to try many samples!!?? Omg how rude and inconsiderate. My kids ask why that lady say those things she should be ashamed of herself, Hmart is our favorite market but is so disappointing that they have this kind of people representing the company. How unfortunate!!! I hope Hmart gives their employees a training on customer service and not to speak...
Read moreLargest Hmart in California! I’ve only been to Hmart in CA and AZ. I like to compare it to the one in Phoenix because of the exact layout yet twice or thrice the size.
Right when you walk in, if you turn right you hit the food hall. Which has 10-11 vendors with Tous Les jours in every HMart.
If you make a left, you enter the one way path of household and cute items. It was like a mini Daiso that leads you into the produce area. Produce and fruits are the same except cheaper.
From there, you get multiple aisles of snacks, ramen, freezer, sauces, large selection of alcohol, wine, sake, beer both cold and room temperature.
The back wall of seafood, marinated meats, Kim chi and pre made hot food. Short of nothing.
The parking lot is too small to handle the amount of shoppers. We parked in on the other side of the lot in front of Nothing Bundt Cake.
If you come during this grand opening month, look for the red tents in the parking lot to...
