Team Members NEVER seem to know how to do anything here. Now I am not sure what the turn over at the Location is but I do know that over the 20 years I visited this location I have never had a positive experience. I stopped in today out of convenience, I picked up two items only. I had picked up a few pieces from the Clearance Section which 9 of 10 items just weren't Sticker Priced which led me to track down the closest Price Checker each time I picked something up...not very convenient but that was not the issue just a mild annoyance. Cut to the Self-Check Out Line I was ringing up my two items: one being 4.99 and an item on clearance for 6.98. So here is where it just gets frustrating, I had scanned the Clearance item to which I thought I should have taken a picture of the screen to send to a friend to let them know that I had found the item and on sale! I scanned the items and it asked for a Team Member because the price was not being located (which is typical when a clearance item is not updated in the system and the UPC is no longer recognized, to which a Team Member typically needs to Manually input the Price-happens more often than you think) the Self Check-Out attendant asked me if I remembered the price when they came to override the Error Message. I responded with "It scanned at 6.98 I believe", they said they would have to verify since I wasn't sure. I was not unsure,I explained I had just scanned the item, the Team Member called over a Supervisor from the Service Counter and asked them to scan the item with their Personal Device. After 10 minutes the Supervisor "Maria" said she couldn't find the item after searching for it and said the "Closest item found was 20.99 and to give it to me for that price".. um no. I explained a fourth time that I scanned it on their Price Check and it showed Clearance and 6.98, the Supervisor said they would check and come back. 10 more minutes later and I am told the Team Member was "trying to locate a Price Checker.." hence the delay, how is that possible. There are signs by every Scanner, 4 I could see from the place I stood. A few minutes later the voice of Maria could be heard on the radio stating "The Price could not be found when scanned on the Price Checker and to let me know the item was salvaged and could not be sold because it was the last item", keep in mind 4 of the item were on the shelve as we spoke, so again, not accurate. I was then told I could not have the item. I seriously have no idea what kind of Training this location goes through but they honestly never know what is going on and the Store recovery is ALWAYS a mess, even after I clearly explained to them what happened and how they could resolve quickly I was ignored and then told I was not "Allowed to purchase the product because they could not find it in their system" but they were just minutes ago going to let me first name my price and then they wanted to charge me 20.99 instead on the Clearance price of 6.98 and not even the MSRP of 9.99. This again is why I NEVER recommend shopping at this Location, go to the Brookhurst Store or the Westminster Mall Store or any other location for that matter. The Beach Blvd Store is a tragedy and wonder why it is a Location they still choose to have open and "Operating". Shame Target. Re-Train, Re-Develop, do some thing about this store! (Review would not post without giving at...
Read moreTarget has a decent selection of everyday consumables at fair prices but they fall short in comparison to Costco. If you don't need something in bulk, though, Target is a viable option. The only thing that drives me crazy about this place (amongst all the other stores I visit) is the fact that they have these new "steel zits" in front of the store. When you're on a knee scooter to ambulate because you're disabled like I am, you risk life and limb trying to navigate this unnecessary terrain. Look, I have enough physical problems and limitations and don't need a flawed design and lack of foresight on an architect's part to augment the mess that I'm already in. And before you naysayers and critics chime in, I know they are there for the blind but there has to be a better solution to whatever they are trying to accomplish here. I've gone over the handlebars twice and have nearly fallen off on several other occasions because of these urban mimics of a teenager's skin complexion. C'mon civil engineers and the ADA, get your...
Read moreI typically love Target, but I recently moved near this location and I have not had a decent experience here. Tonight was the best yet, I could not find an item so I used the red phone in the store to call one of the employees and ask them where it is after the phone rang and rang and rang and rang it finally transferred to the main operator who could not tell me where the item was located she said just a moment and then put me back to that entire cycle again only this time she wouldn't answer the phone. I decided I would find that item at a different store, I had already walked around the store for about 10-15 minutes looking for that item before I tried making the phone call and then spend another 5 minutes in phone ringing hell. Another time I was purchasing an item that was clearly marked clearance and it wouldn't ring up clearance, the cashier refused to find out if it really wasn't clearance would only charge me full price needless to say I didn't purchase that...
