Nice park to have a barbecue or birthday party. There’s some resident squirrels that could use a snacky or two if you happen to have a snacky or two in your pack.

Like the name states, this is a memorial park. I reckon you should take a moment to visit the memorial to meditate on what others have given up so Joe Biden could give it all away to foreigners who haven’t done anything for this country and never will.

Oh yeah, I ran into Melvin Marijuanaseed at this here park. He was moistening his seeds and pushing them into the soil. Hope you get a nice crop this...

2023 Tour Of Honor is celebrating the 50th Anniversary to the end of the Vietnam War. I graduated HS in late May of 1973 the last draft call was December 7th 1972 and the authority to induct expired June 30th 1973.

This Memorial is made of “India Black Granite,” the same granite used for the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. It took three weeks to carve the 217 names representing the Idaho residents who enlisted or were drafted into the United States Armed Forces then died in Vietnam between 1961 and 1975.

Welcome Home to all Vietnam...

Some decent options for older kids to play, but no swings. There are some toys in the shade, which is a nice option, and warnings to check temperature before playing.

Perhaps it was just the day were visiting, but there was a large homeless population using the nearby shaded areas for cooking and one individual was sleeping on a picnic bench in the shelter, which sort of eliminated having a picnic with the kids as an option, as he had most of his belongings spread out between several tables...

I love this location for walking as well as family fun. There are outdoor tables with a covering and grills available. There's a playground and restrooms. There are many trails here that lead to the Greenbelt as well as Quinn's pond Park. There is easy and beautiful river access. There are sidewalk paths as well as gravel. Lots of options for biking and exercise. Also, the best part is a very large tree off the path that is wonderful for climbing! Very cool find. My family loves it.
