Customer service was lacking. Bartender seemed put out when I asked about resetting the scoreboard for shuffle-board. He said maybe just needed to be turned off and on. I could see he was busy so I asked how I might do it myself? ???? At this point he turned his back and proceeded to ignore me.... When I approached again he sighed loudly and stormed towards me & the shuffle-board table. I then informed him that I just needed a rag to wipe a spill and that we already got the shuffle-board situation taken care of. He seemed annoyed and very put out to even have to speak to me.,. Danger pervades this dark and dreamy kitchen-sink of a tavern. Pool tables: check… decent outside food: check… possible alcohol poisoning? hey, be careful… you can make do with a bit less than those patrons who are Checked Out… shitload of televisions will ground you in reality. This is the coolest dive on this side of Boise and I cannot be convinced otherwise. The bartenders are all super personable and very good at keeping the good vibes. I'm spoiled rotten here as a patron because all other bars I've been to have fallen flat in comparison. If you're looking for a spot to have a beer and a good conversation with good people, Fireside is the place. It's also a really good place to read a good book and listen...
