I never write reviews, good or bad. But this place has literally changed my life and I felt compelled to shout them out. I've been training with Zach for a bit and in the last three months I've lost over 30 lbs and gotten stronger not just physically, but emotionally. I started going to the gym because I had wanted to learn how to love the skin I'm in and feel strong, but didn't know where to start. Jayson immediately made me feel welcome and is always so friendly. I was afraid of shame or ridicule or judgement for being a plus-sized woman trying to work out for the first time in her life, and instead have been met with acceptance and support.
Zach has been integral in the positive changes in my life, both in the gym and out. He's supportive without being campy, he quickly adjusts and adapts based on comfort or discomfort with an exercise, and pushes me to give my all. We've experimented and customized the methods and workouts for me (high weight, low rep powerlift type workouts). Through working with him I've learned how to listen to my body and how to push it and thank it for its work. I might whine during our sessions but he's always making me laugh and I feel like a warrior once we're done. He's given me confidence and strength and principles that I've applied to all aspects of my life and I cannot thank Zach enough for his patience and guidance. He genuinely cares for his clients, and wants to see people succeed.
I felt intense anxiety initially finding my way around with the "homework" but the other gym goers are friendly and funny and welcoming too! I haven't been disrupted or "mansplained" to, just a general vibe of everyone wanting to do their best and wanting everyone else to do theirs as well.
This gym has transformed from a source of intense anxiety to somewhat of a safe space, where I can enjoy my time and the people I'm with and focus on myself for a bit and thank my body for my life. If you have any sort of trepidation fear not, the staff is always funny and friendly and happy to help or answer questions. Find yourself a home at the gym and come here. You...
Read moreI have been a member since January of 2017. I am also apart of the personal training program. I have had the opportunity to work with all the trainers that have worked and continue to work at Anytime Fitness Fishers. As a member I look for many things in a gym. I look for cleanliness, instruction, and a safe place to work out. I have been to the gym in the morning, and late at night after work and my training sessions are in the afternoon. Just like any gym it gets busy when the 9-5 work day is over, however, at least I still can work out in peace. I used to be a member at LA Fitness and you could NEVER work out around the 5p time as the gym was so busy and people were beyond rude. At Anytime Fitness its more family like. The staff along with the members are very nice. Yes this gym is a little more expensive then other gyms but you get what you pay for. You have all the equipment you need and the privacy you want along with top notch personal training. I absolutely love my trainer. He is not only a great trainer but a great friend. He looks out for me, is invested in my life outside the gym and gears my workouts to what I like most. I love the hour long sessions where I can be pushed to my limit and know that I worked my hardest in that hour. I feel accomplished when I leave. I don't have to pound the treadmill or bike to feel that I got my cardio in. The gym is great at making sure its up to date on all instruction so I know I am getting the best training. If you are looking for a great gym to start or continue your workout routine... I highly recommend you walk into the gym and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed....
Read moreToday I was in Indy, getting some work done on my vehicle. The nearest location was about 2.5 miles, but due to the formation of ridiculously over engineering highways, it took 20 minutes.
I stopped by the Anytime Fitness location near Fisher. Maria was wonderful, and I wish her much success in the gym industry.
I took some time off, three days rest from pull-ups. Knowing I was fresh, I tried to break my pull-up record of 24 consecutive pull ups. at this location, I was able to do 25 1/2. I can’t count that last one to make 25 due to the tight Marine Corps specifications that I was trained to by Josh Ace!
I like that this location, is Very spacious. And it has an abundant amount of treadmills, five, with three ellipticals, three bicycles, and one stairmaster.
I love the traditional benchpress, but I really love it and the dead lift / Power clean station. They have rogue, approved weights.
For the weighted dips, 75 pounds: I did two sets of eight reps and one set of seven reps
For weighted pull-ups, 25 pounds: I did 9 pull-ups For wide pull-ups, 25 pounds: I only did three, but I held for 7 seconds?
Deadlifts 225: 7 & 10 Shoulder shrugs 225: 5
