Our experience as healthcare professionals living in north mid town Indy. We sign up for these types of experiences through Etsy routinely and found this one to be the first disappointment and experience was mediocre at best. I think that’s an overstatement. The lady running it deserves all the credit for keeping this dump afloat. Both working healthcare we were running a few minutes late and she did accommodate. She was literally almost running between the two different instructors trying to help out, sign in, liability, colors, etc. She was respectful and professional. One of the art glass instructors who was teaching ornaments was nice and the other teaching the snowman I wouldn’t trust my dogs with. He seemed a bit antisocial and yells instead of professionally and respectfully corrects when there is an issue. There is a fine line. These are adults not kids. He needs additional training with professionalism not to mention maybe a mental health eval. He made a comment to the other instructor I can’t believe you took so many in one class in front of others? It completely felt that way. Twice as many as there should have been for the same amount of time felt like less hands on experience and more sitting and waiting. The other instructor teaching ornaments was respectful and professional although not the best instructor and instead of communicating took over for most of the 5 minutes you get to actually blow the glass. The other 60 minutes you are sitting in uncomfortable chairs which are falling apart some of which look like they came from my 1st grade classroom from the late 80s or early 90s. The best part it was warm one a cold drafty day. The other adult size chairs were mostly falling apart and looked unsafe to sit in. The location and ambiance was the worst part. It’s very hard to find and hide deep within an industrial warehouse through a labyrinth of twist and turns. When you arrive on scene you see signs for what appears to be there competitor visibly located at the front but very little for Indiana Art Glass. Fortunately someone from this company who appeared very professional and respectful directed us to where it was. We definitely won’t be back and if anything would try their competitor. Like my partner said “sometimes you learn...
Read moreNever received a response after buying tickets. Let me clarify. I contacted this place MULTIPLE times to try and reschedule after an emergency arised, and I knew I'd be gone. I never received an email, call back, nothing. Over $100+ dollars on tickets. I just cut the loss and decided not to try again or ever recommend them. Any communication, even if it's to tell you no, would have been respectful. Just didn't sit right with me.
I find the reply hilarious. With that winning and professional attitude, I'm definitely not surprised I never received any communication back until now. Google ratings are affected by more recent reviews, so I see why you waited 2 years to reply to an updated bad review. The sad truth is I received absolutely no communication, no call back, no email back, nothing.. I understand not being able to refund or even reschedule.. You're a business and need to make money, that's okay. The bad review is for the company's trash communication and then blaming the customer 2 years later. So, thank you for not checking on that lack of communication again 2 years ago or today.
P.S. Do not recommend this...
Read moreAfter binge watching the Netflix show, "Blown Away," my awesome gf bought me a paperweight class for my bday. I was stoked. I totally thought a paperweight was going to be a chumpy project, but I really wanted to learn how to play with molten glass.
I won't give a play-by-play, but please know that this little blob of glass took a good amount of technique, and it was a fascinating experience. The instructors were very engaging and incredibly helpful. We shared the studio with one other couple, but each couple got our own tour guide.
Great date night. Great learning experience. And we discovered an artist colony right in our own city. We'll be returning later this week to pick up our creations and check out some of the other studios in this warehouse.
You should absolutely do this if you have even a remote interest in the art form! You should absolutely do this...
