Ordered the chilaqueles, the buttermilk blue basil salad and the fries.
The chilaqueles with the salsa verde were quite tasty but the egg came out fried hard. Asked server to bring out a runny egg (and offered to pay an upcharge.) They graciously and promptly brought out a perfectly runny egg at no charge. Would recommend ordering an extra egg (and paying an upcharge) because the portion size is adequate to share and we like the runny egg with the baked chilaqueles.
The fries were thick and crispy and came with two dipping sauces. We really liked the white BBQ and the Daisy sauce.
The salad was good, if a little over-dressed (almost like a Cesaer salad). It came with a ton of slivered jalapeños that covered the top of the salad and were almost candied? Very different. Personally thought there were way too many because there was already a small red fresno chili pepper that was perfect. Didn't taste the basil in the dressing. Thought it could use a bit more of basil and a chiffonade of basil as a garnish.
They had only been open a week and seems like they were working out the kinks. Think it will be a vibrant spot and hope people try it out while they are adding new tenants. Will go back to try a couple of other dishes that sounded intriquing...
Read moreThis place just opened and it’s already sending out top-tier food. The Birra Mandu is a great way to kick things off. 3/order, so you’ll have to fight over the third if you’re sharing. I recommend getting a few of their smaller plates and sharing an entree (the burger is so good and local farm-to-table), so you have room for their ricotta donuts. Service is counter at day but they bring you your drinks and food apart from having to grab utensils and water bottles/glasses. The chopped cheese is to die for! Night time is a great date night vibe. Servers are courteous and polite. It’s really the crown jewel on the south end of the Factory Arts District complex. Check it out, you...
Read moreFor just opening, I'm impressed. Thoughtful food and well prepared. They were pretty slammed and we came early, which says a lot. The tap list was small, but great choices. Food menu is eclectic and had something for everyone. Burger was great, but maybe a bit small for $20. French fries were great. Chicken liver was nice but the mango sauce was bitter (only real complaint). Sausage and peppers was interesting, great flavors and peppers / sauce but just needed one more component to truly be awesome. Will definitely return, excited to see how they evolve. Everyone was super friendly and it's a great location to start out then go on to Centerpoint brewing, art studios,...
