Spades Park — Attraction in Indianapolis

Beautiful park with lots of mostly flat grass, a small (2-4 picnic table size; not provided) pavilion. A playset designed for 4-10 year olds is engaging (heights mostly make it less toddler friendly). Many shady areas from mature trees. A bridge crosses the (not very accessible, for better or worse) creek. No paved paths so not as stroller or wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms. Noise pollution reasonable for being in the city. Gazebo, with roof and seated tables. Swings. Slide, with good jungle gym. Bridge over Pogue's Run 🚧 Construction on west end of the park (Spring 2024). Segments of Pogue's Run Trail are being extended and linked together; eventually running from near the center of Indy, through this and Brookside Park, and eventually to Pogue's Run Art and Nature Park.
