Always love Highland Park. In my opinion, one of the best places in Indianapolis to see the sunset. It has a good elevation and a cool view of the skyline.

Nice park in the middle of town with play equipment for kids, a pavilion with table, grill and trash cans. There are short walking trails and a nice view of the Indy skyline. The park is open from dawn til dusk. A homeless person was sleeping on the picnic table when we visited, so that might make using the grill and pavilion area a bit uncomfortable.
