Beautiful home, excellent location and best of all the hosts! Tom and Jeanne are fascinating story tellers, they are very attentive to your needs and make you feels as their home is your home. I recommend them to everyone I know. Their home is beautiful and full of history. Each time I stay, I notice something I didn't notice in previous visits. So many intricating details in the architecture inside and out. Please be sure to ask them about the history of the home before you leave! The rooms are spacious, meticulously clean and very comfortable. You wake up to a delicious breakfast and lovely piano music. I even requested a song and she could play it and did. They want to give their guests an experience that will be memorable. So much so that if you did request a song and she didn't know it, she would probably learn it before your next visit! The location is very convenient. You can walk to Lucas Oil, Conseco Fieldhouse, numerous restaurants, museums, Memorial parks, and the Canal Walk. Mass Ave is just around the corner! I can go on and on about how wonderful they are, and how wonderful the house and location are. Honestly you just need to stay and see for yourself. You will be impressed and I guarantee you...
Read moreTom and Jeanne are great! They met us upon arrival with fresh baked cookies, and are very friendly, hospitable and helpful. They even went out of their way to take us to pick up our vehicle when we had to get a new tire. The bed was very comfortable and had tempurpedic mattress. The house is a historic home, decorated beautifully. We loved talking with Tom and Jeanne and hearing about the history of the home. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. If you may have forgotten to pack something, it's there for you, from shampoos, toothbrush, hairdryer, iron etc. Tom and Jeanne are very thoughtful. Sometimes being in the heart of the city, it can get noisy, so they even supply earplugs if you need them while trying to rest. Our breakfast was delicious and served on Old Country Roses China (one of my favs). The dining area is very nice. The sitting rooms downstairs is a comfortable place to relax, as well as the outside garden area. It was such a treat to hear Jeanne play the piano. They made us feel as if we were old friends visiting. To the side is a fully furnished apartment with very nice and comfortable furnishings including a full kitchen and washer and dryer. They really made our stay in...
Read moreWell located in the historic district, the Mansion is a beautifully restored 1890’s home. The innkeepers Jeannie and Tom are delightful and full of stories about their home and their very remarkable lives. The home is filled with many books and antiques. I would suggest giving the guests some space for their own items as there was no place for me to put my facial items or makeup in our bedroom. Also suggest some lamps as the room only had ceiling fan lights- too bright. Our room facing a busy road was noisy all night making sleeping difficult. Maybe a good idea is to reverse the sitting room and bedroom? |Our breakfast was outstanding- truly gourmet and accomplished by Jeanie’s piano playing.|The outside area could be amazing if instead of a concrete parking lot, artificial turf was installed; also a bush fence lining to make it more intimate.|We enjoyed our visit to Indianapolis and staying in an historic B&B enhanced...
