Hello, Everyone. The fair itself was amazing.
I actually give the fair 5 stars this year.
They had better trolley transportation & way more buildings with water faucets & most importantly:
Way more restrooms.
Thank you!
Yet, there was only one extremely rude person, which was this lady right here Ms. Amanda at the Goldfish stand where after you first enter where the rides are to the right if you're coming from the main front entrance off of the street after making A left to pay for your tickets.
I understood what I had to do & the cost of everything, because I had read the signs,
Yet, all I wanted Ms. Amanda to do was to explain exactly how the game works in detail as far as if l had to make A certain amount of balls in the fish bowls & what would be the prize/prizes.
When I say this lady Ms. Amanda was so extremely rude to me, & just started snapping off.
Her response to everything as if she didn't want me to ask her any kind of questions were:
JUST READ THE SIGNS!!! JUST READ THE SIGN!!!
When I say the lady was extremely rude,
I really wanted to know as if the person who hired her knows how she talks to certain customers.
It was too obvious.
She basically was saying to the lady & her son who were actually already playing the game who were minding their business that I was was basically dumb.
They customers never responded to her rudeness towards me, because they didn't find it funny, or nice.
They literally looked at Ms. Amanda & shook their head.
Ms. Amanda was waiting for them to laugh, Yet they never laughed,
Which it wasn't funny. It was extremely rude & evil.
So, I was trying to tell Ms. Amanda that I had read the signs & ask her if we actually win the real Goldfish if we were to make so many balls in the Goldfish &
Her response in an extremely rude way prior to me even finishing My question:
JUST READ THE SIGN LIKE I SAID & NO YOU WIN GUMMY BEARS!!!
HOW ABOUT THAT!!!
&
SHE LAUGHED!
Disrespectfully.
I didn't even say anything rude back, I just looked, because I couldn't understand why Ms. Amanda was being so rude to me if all I did was speak & say:
Hello, Afternoon Ma'am, How are you Ma'am?
May I ask how the game works in detail please & Thank you?
I didn't come off rudely, or anything, because that's not My character, plus I'm shy, quiet, & stay to myself.
Ms. Amanda was basically an adult bully & she really refused to help me.
She basically lost out on A sale, because I had actually wanted to play the game,
Yet, I don't do rudeness.
When someone is rude I will take My money elsewhere.
Ms. Amanda made it very clear that she didn't want me stopping at, near, or by her Goldfish stand.
Ms. Amanda was extremely rude & disrespectful & I just wanted to ask just A few questions & the fact that she really never had given me the correct answers to anything, or really didn't even want to help me & had walked away after she stated sarcastictically that I would win GUMMY BEARS was ridiculous.
I didn't even feed into her rudeness.
I kept My mouth closed from saying anything negatively & I just said :
Thank you Ma'am!
No one should have had to experience that & I would like to say,
Thank you so much to the customers the lady & her son who were playing the game for not responding, or laughing after basically calling me...
Read moreI attended the Indianapolis Fall Boat & RV Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds this past September and it was an outstanding event from start to finish. The show was well organized, easy to navigate, and had a great atmosphere that made it fun to spend the whole day exploring. Parking and entry were straightforward, and staff at the gates and throughout the venue were friendly and helpful, setting a welcoming tone for the experience.
The variety of RVs on display was impressive. From small travel trailers and camper vans to large fifth wheels and luxury motorhomes, there was something for every type of traveler and budget. It was great to be able to step inside, compare layouts, and ask questions directly to knowledgeable representatives. The vendors were approachable without being pushy, which made browsing feel relaxed and informative rather than like a hard sell.
In addition to RVs, the boat section added another dimension to the show. Even though I went mainly for the RVs, it was fun to check out everything from fishing boats to luxury pontoons. The diversity of products and brands made it easy to see the latest trends and innovations all in one place.
The fairgrounds venue worked perfectly for this type of event. The indoor spaces were spacious and comfortable, with wide aisles and clear signage. There were plenty of food and drink options available, restrooms were clean, and seating areas made it easy to take a break and plan which exhibits to see next.
What really stood out to me was the value of having so much information and so many options under one roof. Whether you’re a seasoned RV owner looking to upgrade, a first-time buyer trying to learn, or just curious about the lifestyle, the show provided a hands-on way to compare products and talk directly with experts.
Overall, the Indianapolis Fall Boat & RV Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds was a fantastic event. It combined a wide selection of RVs and boats with a friendly, well-run environment that made learning and shopping enjoyable. I left with a lot of new ideas, plenty of brochures, and a much better sense of what’s available in the market. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in RVs, boats, or outdoor recreation, and I look forward to attending...
Read moreThis was my first time to Fairgrounds. Went there for the Fair. I went on $2 dollar Tuesday. First, you may need to ask the food vendors for the 2 dollar Tuesday sample because not everyone has a sign in their place of business. The food I had was a Gyro. It was ten dollars but not worth ten dollars. It was good, but not good enough for the price. The Lemonade shake up I had was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet or too sour... Just right. $2.00 refills.
I also had a pulled pork sandwich. It was hot but the portion was small and not worth 6 dollars. The best thing I had was a pretzel at the fair. I couldn't believe how good it was. I'm not much of a pretzel fan but my friend convinced me to try it. I was blown away by how soft and great tasting it was. It was a huge pretzel and all for 5 dollars. Something I would recommend trying.
The rides are expensive. Yes, on 2 dollar Tuesday you can get some deals on the rides, but not all have this. I rode the Lift and it was $6.00 a person. There are a lot of variety when it comes to the rides. There are plenty of rides for the young kids too.
The games were expensive and the prizes were mediocre at best. I've seen better stuffed animals to win at Indiana Beach and local carnivals. The grounds were kept up well. So were the bathrooms. Definitely a clean place.
When I first arrived at the fair there were many people guiding cars where to park. It was organized, but I had hard time finding the exit to leave the Fairgrounds. It was fairly dark in the parking lot and it made seeing things hard. There wasn't any signs I saw (maybe I didn't see em cause of the lack of light) to show you how to get out and I ended up asking someone to show me how to leave.
Overall, I liked the fair but prepared to bring money and lots of it if you have a family. There are things you can do for free inside the buildings, seeing the animals, watching a show, such as Sixteen Candles but I've seen local fairs such as the Lake and Porter County fairs up in Northwest Indiana have just as good of a fair, if not better in some aspects and not...
