I came to this store to get some soda and while waiting in line saw a battery pack for $5 near the cashier but after just leaving this store in the parking lot, I noticed that I was charged $8.35 and immediately went in to check with the cashier why I was overcharged for the batteries and when I pointed out where I got the item, the rest of that battery pack had miraculously vanished from the hook they were on display near the cashier and then the cashier just said they were probably on the placed on wrong spot. Customers should not be paying more if FD employees placed the item on the wrong spot, that was their fault not the customers. I had the same experience purchasing some items at Dollar General where the price in the the cash register are always a .65 cents or over a dollar more than what is shown on the shelf. I am beginning to feel that these dollar stores are doing this on purpose taking advantage of low income customers in these food desert neighborhoods. $3.35 cent might not be a lot for others but from someone with limited budget, this is a lot and if Family Dollar continues to do this to 1 million customers, that would be $3.35 million extra revenue for them due to...
Read moreI’ve been to this location twice in the last week. The first thing I noticed is that the parking lot is in need of attention, repair and cleaning. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by a young g man at the cash register with a bubbly personality that was pleasant. Both times I went into this store with very specific items in mind to get. Fortunately, the items I was seeking were available - or a good substitute. I did notice that there were multiple empty spaces on the shelves. My experience with the young man running the cash register was very pleasant and courteous. I was pleased with the process of the products I purchased and the other items that I glanced at. This location had a lot of potential, but could definitely use some assistance from the...
Read moreGoogle says they’re open until 10p. Pull up at 8:41p & the door says open until 9p. Perfect. Door one was locked. Door two was locked. Two, maybe three, employees were by the register. Pull on the door again & they looked at me. Point at my watch. One of the guys shook his head no. Got in the car to leave & saw another customer walk up. Same thing. He was more agitated & kept pulling on the doors. Employee came to the door, thinking he might let him in I stopped to watch. He told the customer they’re closed. Tried to call the store today but the number on the Google listing calls the home office. Had stopped here out of convenience, which it was everything but convenient. Ended up going to Meijer which I’ll know to...
