Frustrating experience. Maybe self inflicted by not knowing what to expect, but even so. It took me 3 hours to be able to complete a urine sample for a drug screening.
I arrived to the clinic at 10 minutes to 9 for a straightforward employment drug screening. I walked in to a crowded office, and found the check in kiosks on the wall. Went through that process to get checked in, where it informed me that they would text me to let me know when they would be calling me in. Sounded convenient, and let me wait elsewhere, which I appreciated. Went out to my car to wait in peace, and received my text at 9:03. Much faster than I had expected, but great!
Walked back into the clinic and proceeded to wait in the crowded room, and waited. And waited. At 9:30ish, I noticed my name had disappeared from the check in list, and I had definitely not been called. Had I been wiser, I would have spoken with one of the people working at the front at this time, but I didn't want to interrupt the fairly constant flow of people being called up to be asked for paperwork or with other questions, so I waited. At 9:49, still having not been called for, I opted to check in again. Maybe I slipped through the cracks, it happens. At 9:51, I get the text again, saying a technician will be calling your name shortly. So I resume waiting.
I wait patiently until 11:30, a full 2 hours and 40 minutes have passed since my arrival. The clinic has thinned out significantly, but I've definitely watched people that have checked in long after my arrival already having handled their business and leaving. So I take my chance to speak with the employee at the desk to ask if I was still showing on their end, because I had disappeared off their scrolling list again. I was assured that, yes, and I would be called in shortly. Great.
At about 11:38 the employee calls me back up to the desk and asks if anybody had asked me for any paperwork I may have. I clarify that no, nobody had called my name in the time I had been here, and had my information fully ready to go this whole time. I didn't see a place to input it at the check in kiosk, so I waited at the time. Maybe I should have gone directly to the desk in the first place.
I was called in at about 11:43 to complete my screening, and was done by 11:55. Frustrating to say the least that I spent over 3 hours trying to provide a urine sample, of which most of it was spent waiting apparently pointlessly in the lobby while a "text when ready"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI arrived Friday for a blood draw/urine sample, and was pleased with the friendliness/helpfulness of the lady at the counter. I was handed a cup, and told to handle business then pick an open stall for a blood draw. I chose Karina, since she was the only one available. Karina was less-than-enthusiastic, and her attitude was off-putting. I mad a simple request to have my blood drawn from my hand or outside of my arm, as I've had it done that way for the last 20 years. Karina argued with me immediately about the location request, and repeatedly and FORCIBLY attempted to turn my arm over to stick me, against my will, saying she could "see a good one right there!". My arm was shaking from holding it away from her, as she wouldn't listen. I called out for someone else and asked for someone new to draw my blood. Karina said "no no no, fine I'll do it" (she also refused me a smaller needle/butterfly) and proceeded to jam the needle in my arm saying "See! It doesn't work!" while smirking. Once she pulled the needle out a little, the blood ran smooth and fine. After that blood was flowing without an issue, Karina kept pulling the needle in and out, and digging all around/jiggling the needle. She was arguing with me this entire time saying she might look young, but she knows what she's doing. I asked her why she was jiggling the needle all around when it was flowing smoothly. She stopped after I said, "boy you're trying to leave a fat bruise, huh?". I was in such shock at her abuse, and I cannot fathom having such a liability working for you. I am not a stranger to blood draws. Shouldn't one focus on the patient and blood draw instead of giving attitude and trying to argue with a patient? More so than maintaining their ego? She kept it up as I was leaving too, with the snide remarks and passive-aggressive behavior. I'm even worried about the validity of my samples and hoping nothing was tampered with. She should never touch another patient. How dare you abuse someone with a needle in their arm. I will be reporting her elsewhere. She left my arm sore and bruised. Update: Been 2 weeks, still have a bruise but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery very poor service. Went in for the 3 hour glucose test where Iād have to have 4vlood samples taken. The First Lady who drew my blood really hurt me as she jabbed the needle in my arm supper fast and hard. Instantly left a bruise. The other three draws were okey. I let the next three techs who drew my blood that the older lady really hurt me , they had apologized and said āo sheās old school thatās whyā. The last tech and I had a present conversation, so I thought and I explained to her what happened she said she was sorry and drew my last draw. Her draw didnāt hurt and I complimented her on doing a good job. A week later I receive a call from Derrell Dowdy saying that there was a report saying I punched the tech and left a bruise!? Like what the heck ! I would never do that to anyone. And if it was true if I really assaulted the tech(who we had a good conversation with, why didnāt she call the police right away when it happened.?! And am just getting notified a week later.. how dare the tech notions try and slander my name and my character, iv been getting care here for awhile never had an incident. But be aware this place is corrupted and they lose labs, and make false accusations, and hurt their patients. Mind you Iām pregnant, and would never harm anyone, or even think putting my hands on anyone . Be aware when coming here This was the first picture when she drew my blood, the second is from...
