St Andrews Park — Attraction in Irmo

We Had a baby shower here for a friend and discuss everything with the front over phone in advance. We arrived the day of the baby shower and not only was every door locked but they continuously tried to close the kitchen door after we were told we could use it from when we first book the room. I believe his name was joe that we talked to about the renting the room. We checked in and told the lady we book a room and she said she had no knowledge of what we were talking about. Then we told her we spoke to a man over the phone only for her to point that he was right next to her and not once did he even get up or try to help us out and point us to the correct room to set up when he can clearly here our conversation. We got harassed by the employees and the front desk girl had an attitude for no reason. We also cleaned everything up and placed all chairs and table back against the wall stacked and disinfected everything we possibly touched and even had a guy double check everything to make sure we get our deposit back and was told everything looks great. They locked up behind us and not one time did they mention anything was dirty! They were already giving us a hard time and something told me to take pictures just in case they try and come back and lie which of course they did so they could keep the money. It’s a small park with no shade. It’s nice for a quick pitstop to let the kids play for a bit but there are definitely better parks. I’ve come across cigarette butts around the play structure along with some miscellaneous trash. During one visit my son found someone’s dreadlock under one of the slides and another one by the benches. I assumed had been ripped off someone’s head idk. It's a very peaceful park! First park I have taken my kids to in Columbia since moving here in 2015. They love it. It seems safe! Pool available when they get the staff!
