It's incredible how much can change when you start paying attention to the details. I decided to give this gym a shot, enticed by a one-time introductory class. The initial interactions were pleasant; the front desk staff seemed friendly enough. However, as a morning person, their sparse 6 AM class offerings didn't align with my schedule. So, I began exploring other options.
And that's when things took a turn.
Upon inquiring about canceling my membership, I was informed that the only way to do so was by sending a written email to the owner. It seemed peculiar, but I followed the instructions diligently. Yet, my efforts went unanswered. Before I knew it, my 30-day trial period had lapsed, automatically renewing into a full-price membership. Despite my attempts to reach out, silence ensued.
Then, out of the blue, I received a text – presumably from the owner – attempting to sell me on a pay-per-visit membership. I declined, explaining that I no longer wished to be a member. In response, I was simply told that my payment would cease after the current month.
What a shock! Suddenly, I was informed of a 30-day cancellation policy that had never been mentioned before. It became apparent that the trial I had signed up for was more of a trap than an opportunity. The lack of transparency in their communication left me feeling cheated and frustrated.
This gym may lure you in with promises of a one-month trial, but beware: once they have you hooked, they'll start squeezing every penny out of you. My advice? Steer clear of this establishment at all costs. It's a prime example of how businesses can deceive...
Read moreStellar class from Maili today! Amazing challenging workout, thanks!
Justin today was amazing! I love his classes, he is always upbit, uplifting and challenging!
Update: Still love the classes and instructors, amazing instructor today. Jeanie? Not sure how to spell her name, she was subbing from another location. That classic class was just right! It wasn’t too easy or too hard and Jeanie is very gentle yet encouraging in an amazing and refreshing way. She encourages by praise and concentrates on your success not your failure! Loved today’s class!
I love the classes and instructors and the staff but their cancelation policies are kind of obnoxious. You have to cancel at least 4 hours before the class, and it’s a group class that will take place weather you show up or not. If you reserve a class and forget for whatever reason they charge you $20. This makes me very angry as I am a forgetful person who is always busy with the kids. They also don’t like it if you show up without reserving. So this past month I had to pay $40 for forgetting about 2 classes on top of the $200 that I pay for an unlimited membership. Seems kind of greedy on their side. At least they could offer a discount on socks or something if they charge you for no shows or...
Read moreMy love affair with Pure Barre started 11 years ago and since then, on and off, it has been my happy workout place. After my second pregnancy I started having back pain. I used to see a chiropractor twice at week with no results. A friend suggested me to try this workout in order to strengthen my core muscle. I still remember the soreness of my whole body after the first class and the feel of joy at the same time: I had found my "me time" happy place! My back pain disappeared after a month. Since then, on and off due to my crazy schedule, I've been coming to this place. I tried other exercises but nothing fulfills my needs the way Pure Barre does. It's gentle with your body avoiding any kind of injuries, still effective and hard core. The place is well run. The teachers are wonderful and always ready to help especially with new people. From the moment you walk in, you're recognized, called by your first name, encouraged and motivated throughout the class. There are 3 level of classes, you start with the foundation before you move to the others. What else to say? Thank you Pure Barre for taking care of my body...
