My son and I heard about this little skate park in Irving from some friends. We had a father/son skate day, so we decided to check it out. A free skate park is always pretty cool. But to be honest there wasn’t a lot to do there. The park seems to be geared more towards bikers. The skate level of the park was either for a complete novice or really really awesome skater. Read moreThis park needs some love. I assume it was much nicer when it was new but you can tell that foundation shifting has warped many of the sections. The concrete isn't as smooth as newer surrounding parks but it's a step above most high quality parking lots. It's more of an intermediate park with high ledges and steep banks and big hubba ledges. But the aesthetic is nice nestled next to a nice walking trail, and the huge tree in the corner provides a big shady spot to cool down. The city has shown skaters love and that's awesome but it needs a little maintenance....
Read moreI came here while on a trip just to visit a small park close by that I hadn't seen before. It turned out to be much more fun looking than I expected. The ledges, rails, and the euro gap are much bigger than I would have ever expect see at a park that supposedly is for skateboarding as they look bigger than average for even a bike. It would definitely be a fun park to ride a bike in though and I want to bring mine here next time I'm in the area. I was disappointed I didn't have mine with me this time.
