Taqueria El Arquito — Restaurant in Irving

My family and I have been coming here a lot. It's one of our favorite taco places specifically for the trompo taco special. We have tried other items from their menu in the past and have ordered in person, over the phone as well as via Doordash. We recommend the trompo special as in our opinion, that's their specialty. We've tried other meats here, but they have not been as good. The beef fajita is ok, barbacoa is ok. The torta with trompo meat 10/10. The horchata is a hit or miss. There are days where it's good and days when it's not. I would not recommend the desserts as they are not fresh. We attempted to try them twice and both times after they were handed to us, they came to us stating that they realized they were expired and offered us another menu item for the same cash value instead. Our family specifically prefers beef fajitas as our meat of choice but would not eat it here. The restaurant itself is okay, it's always busy when we go, somewhat clean. They seem understaffed so we suggest ordering to go...

Hidden Gem! Must try!!First time here! Decided to try it since we always pass it on our way home. You come in and its a small place and you order at the register. Food came out in a timely manner and it was fresh.i ordered a agua de jamaica and bottle of water for our drinks! I ordered mi especial that's 3 tacos trompo, barbacoa and fajita with rice and beans. My husband ordered a torta of fajita that comes with fries. We decided to also try taco of lengua(tongue) my husband said meat is so tender. We ordered tamales too one red and one green. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Seeing the good reviews definitely helped my decision to come eat here. As you can see, it’s a small but warm space. The staff is nice and friendly.

I ordered four chicken fajita tacos and a side of beans. The food came out pretty quickly. The tacos were the “street tacos” size but the chicken was well seasoned and cooked. The salsas were in packets but they were spicy and tasty. The beans were good, just a little pricey for a side dish.

I will definitely be back to try some of the different dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves...
