Potosinos Taco Spot — Restaurant in Irving

Sorry I cannot even tell you that I had experienced when I haven't even been there I think because I passed through and I think they made a mistake on my visit. But I really do apologize for giving them a one-star that's why I'm explaining myself to let it be known that I haven't even eating at this Spanish restaurant. I really do love Spanish food if you really want to know the truth special them homemade tamales they really do make some Dynamite chicken tamales sometimes it's kind of hard to find someone to put their love into their food. Everybody can't cook but I really have had a couple of some homemade dishes. And I also experienced some really spicy salsa I'm so sorry that my stomach cannot handle some of the spices that they put especially when they put they're homemade touches. Beef soup, chorizo taco (street style) and Quesadillas Potosinos were delicious. The soup especially, restorative! The rice was a little undercooked but tasty. Churros were sub-par. But despite the small shortcomings, the soup, tacos and salsas made up for it and saved loosing a star from the ratings. The setting was warm on a chilly night and had nice booth seating. Somewhat cozy, clean and relaxed setting. Still finishing out a little part of the restaurant but it wasn't intrusive. V clean and good tiled restrooms. I was craving a big old burrito and decided to give this place a try. The burrito was very big. For me, it's easily two meals. So for the price, it's a good value. The taste wasn't so great. Just very bland. I got a burrito with ground beef. It tasted like...ground beef. Very little flavor to it. That was disappointing. My husband's chicken burrito wasn't much better. The generous portion of jalapeno on the side helped a little but you shouldn't have to add heat just to get flavor. Mexican food (and Tex-Mex) is all about layers of flavor. This was just bland.
