This was our first experience here at Tacos Lucas and I am saddened to say it was a disappointment. First off we came in the building there was a lady that did not greet us or welcome us . She ignored us and continue walking needless to say she wasn't even busy . Regardless she should of been more welcoming . The only reason we visited is because I saw the new place promoting on fb. So I thought to give it a try. Then we proceeded to order . My order consisted of tacos de birria however I ordered them w/o the grease . When they finally came to me they were very greasy I made the lady aware. The name on the receipt said Nany. The same one that did not greet us upon entering the restaurant. She was very argumentative when I explained I did not want greasy tacos . I understand they are greasy , however I had asked for a regular corn tortilla. Needless to say I was again disappointed because you promote homemade corn tacos ( tortillas) we did not get handmade tacos . It was store bought tortillas. However I will mention Angy she was very helpful and kind and she changed my order of tacos . She made it right. Please to the owner of this establishment choose your employees wisely and please take the time to properly train them on customer service to the clientele. Proper etiquette and good manners . And also train them on welcoming and smiling . Our experience was not a pleasant one. We are debating either to return or definitely not return to Tacos Lucas . Hopefully in the near future you take my suggestions into...
Read moreWent there because my family has been wanting to try new places and help small businesses.
Walked in the girl was more entertained watching Netflix then taking my order correctly. The food is overpriced for the quality that is being sold. The Tacos (harina) were lacking in cilantro and cebolla, all four had enough to cover one normal taco. The Al Pastor meat was lacking in flavor and more likely just painted in salsa for color. The Asada were fine for steak by itself, not en un taco de asada. We also ordered sopes, which almost seemed to not be fully cooked by how soft they were.
The price for two bottled drinks was almost the same as 5 tacos.
I put two stars because we ate the food but most likely never going again. I always take pictures of take out food, but this time first impressions were enough for me just to want to get the meal over with, then to...
Read more10/10 from Lucas today!!! This is by far the best Torta in DFW. I got the Cubano and subbed the salchicha for some pastor and from the homemade bread toasted perfectly to the flavorful meats that were plentiful it was simply divine. There was no room for improvement at all. My husband got a Burrito and felt the same about his. He kept saying out loud "Oh My God" if that says anything. They have three salsas (one red that we found to be a bit pecosa and just not for us) and two wonderful salsa verdes that were amazing and again obviously homemade. I knew before we went this was a family owned establishment. The family is always on site to insure everything is running as it should be. If not for the YouTube Channel that the city of Irving has I would have never known about this local gem. We can't wait to go back and have told our friends. Y'all...
