Fruteria Sonrisas — Restaurant in Irving

We were introduced to this shop by some friends and we have never gone to any other shop for a fruit tray since that time. Our most recent order was a large fruit tray for a gathering of medical professionals and the rave reviews were as expected for the product we received.

The fruit is always top notch quality and the taste beats anything you would purchase in any local store. This tray consisted of strawberries, watermelon, red grapes, orange slices, and mango. Cucumber is also an option, and there might be other choices, but this is our go to tray.

The large tray was $46, but by the time you would buy and prep all the fruit yourself, plus the time involved, you would probably be at least $100 for time and labor and produce.

I also appreciate that Fruteria Sonrisas can get an order together with super short notice - it is greatly appreciated.

I was craving some fresh fruit and have never been to this place. I picked the place due to the number of reviews on google. I pulled up to the place and they have a sign on the door telling customers not to come into the store. The only way you can order from this place is by calling their store and placing an order over the phone. Well that's pretty inconvenient since I've never been inside this place and I have no idea what they have. I decided not to waste my time or even go through the trouble since there are other places open. FYI to the owner you just lost one customer and i do not plan on ever going back since this left a bad impression. I drive from Duncanville to here just for elote and mangonadas. No other fruiteria near me can compare. The only downside is when there is a small line of 3 people and about 4 people waiting for their order. They'll seem to have plenty of staff but they move pretty slow, the most I've ever waited here was probably nearly 30 mins for 2 mangonadas and 1 elote... only because the staff hace todo con calma.

update I ordered 1 mangonada and 1 elote. I've been here for 30 minutes and my order still isn't really. They have 5 employees working like turtles when there's only 7 guests sitting here all waiting. Food restaurants will cook you food and serve it to you quicker than this. Ridiculous.
