This used to be the best place to go in Jackson. Before all the high ups moved on to bigger and better things. Before the town turned away from the team that brought home numerous title championships. Now, it doesn't hold the same joy as it used to. A bunch of over tanned, wealthy men took over and brought the good old boys from the field leagues no one really cares about to fill a stadium that in its best days made great memories for 10's of thousands of fans. Some of the best employees that walked these steps have been replaced by some of the rudest people in this town. It went from an experience like no other to get those dollars. It seems now that the crowd is not the only one who dont want to be there. If you want to watch some guys that really aren't going anywhere and their family members play ball, eat stale food that's overpriced and try to endure the heat with some rude folks. Then, the ballpark of Jackson is right for you. Unfortunately, I remember what it once was and the people it used to be filled with every night the lights were on. I know change is constant, but some change shows the decision-making capabilities of those who claim to have the cities' best interest in mind. I don't believe anyone had any concerns for the residents of jackson on their mind while making the choices that have made this once great park into the depressing, dilapidated, and easily forgettable piece of city property that it is today. I pass by it now, and all I see are opportunities missed and egos that overpowered the joy of an entire city. These changes came about due to a mistake in grammar and a hunger for control. The largest stadium located in the smallest populated area for the level of ball teams that played there used to fill the seats every night game. Concerts that filled up the stadium with standing room left only. Now it's just another baseball field for the city of Jackson. Enjoy it if you can but I wouldn't count on it being the type of memory you ever wish to recall...
Read morewe had a great time at the scouts night and Harry potter night only thing is the party jumpers needs to be staked down the wind almost took off with the slide and when kids r on the jumpers they move and they have to keep pulling them back. Could of hurt someone seriously. Id advise to get ur eats and drinks before sitting down or you will have to stand in line for over 30 mins but thats anywhere you go. Special nights like scout nights players should want to meet and greet with them not just run out of the dugout straight to the back remember they came to see the general's amd hoping to meet...

Although this team may not always win, the feeling in the ballpark is really electric during night time games with a packed stadium! There's this one guy there sitting in the skybox seating that'll get the whole crowd pumped and sometimes yell "whooooooo!" You also get the feeling of being part of something special when you're at a game like their July4th ones!
The Jackson Ballpark is a really good place to go to! Although concessions can be a bit pricey compared to other stadiums at times, the Generals Ballpark is a great...
