The second part of this review is concerning our actual experiences ourselves: My husband, Ric, actually started using him years ago to get appliances. He did not want to spend the money to buy brand new, and deal with a salesperson trying to get as much out of my husband as they could. Often, he found at these other sales places, he overpaid for the appliance, the salesperson would have no real knowledge of what the item, making up as they go. We started buying the over-priced warranties because it always seems this brand new appliance were not well built and would break down quickly. The only recent thing new we bought when coming to appliances was a side washer, which turned out to be a nightmare. Within the first year, the washer broke, so the warranty was not used. The washer was covered over the washer maker's first year warranty. So, the warranty I bought was gone, with the washer, since it was replaced by the maker since it was unfix-able. The replacement was a year newer than the previous same brand name model. The lock on the door after two years did not close, so I could not wash clothes. I called someone who lived a block away and said he had another customer to do that day who lived next to me. He said he would give me a great deal, after asking him what the total would be. He said around $170.00 to $175.00, if it was the part he suspected, noting it was very common with those units. I said that was way too high, since it was like a fourth of what I paid for the washer, so I was going to call someone else. He then said he would give me a better deal, since I was a neighbor, a new customer, and he had another customer right next door. He came over, and it literally took about 5 minutes to fix the part. He went upstairs to write the so-called-deal, and he wrote it for $175.00. I said to him, "Where is the deal?" He told me the part was very expensive. When I went and looked at the washer to see if I could find what the part looked like, if it had a number on it, a serial number, and/or make and model of my washer to find out just how much it cost, I was happily surprised to see that he left the broken part on my washer. I looked it up, and the "expensive part" for me to buy from the manufacture was around $30.00. So, otherwise I was charged $145.00 by that repairman for 5 minutes of his time. What a "GREAT DEAL!!!" I said I would never call him again. Unfortunately for the business in this review, the name of this repair service was very similar, but no relationship to this company. A couple weeks later, this 2 year old side washer's door fell off the hinges. When I looked up the price, it was almost $200.00 just for the part alone. I figured I probably could go online to figure how to fix it myself. After talking to my husband, we decided that we would go back to buying from Jason's New & Used Appliances, since he only sells what he knows is good, completely goes over everything, and gives a warranty. Ironically, we had decided after the first few weeks of having a side washer, we would be going back to the original top loaders. With all the trouble we had, not even fore-seeing the future, the bending to get the clothes in and out of the side washer was too hard on my compromised back, and once it starts to load with water, clothes could not be added or taken out, even if you saw a red sock in the whites. unless you could figure out how to drain the water and get the machine to on lock. Once we stopped and figured everything out, we realized that the " BEST SERVICE" overall was with Jason when it comes to knowledge of the best machines, and the cost we have saved with him, rather than buying warranties, or risking it without and then ending up with a mass production machine that we hoped was built correctly, so we would not be faced with heavy repair bills. Since then we bought two more appliances from this company and are completely happy. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!! KEEP THE GREAT JOB AND SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF JACKSON WHO USE YOU, AND THOSE WHO HAVEN'T BOUGHT FROM YOU,...
Read moreWhatever you do if you have a problem with a product you bought from this place or it just flat out stops working, DO NOT try to send it back to be fixed as I have been informed by the owner that he does not run a repair shop it is for Sales ONLY! Had I been made aware of this then I wouldn't have wasted my time hauling my dryer there for it too be fixed in about an hour, get it home and it only works for about 30mins. So I called the store to voice my concerns and was told by the OWNER that I am to "Shut my mouth and listen" had it been told to me in the first place that they didn't do repairs then this would have never been an issue. I manage a small family business myself I would never dream of telling a customer to shut their mouth when they have an issue! If you want to be treated with respect when you have a problem with a product I would find another place to take your business. Very Rude and...
Read moreWe recently bought our first house and the electrical outlet for our dryer fried our timer. We purchased a refurbished electrical dryer from Jason’s. A few days later, we found out our electrical outlet could not handle the electricity the dryer was pulling. Thankfully, we had a gas hookup and Jason’s was willing to take the electric dryer back on exchange. The staff was very patient with us and had extensive knowledge on the appliances they sell. Amazing customer service!! (and that’s coming from someone who works in customer service daily) We went back to purchase a new dishwasher from them. We couldn’t beat their prices! We will continue to make purchases at Jason’s and will recommend them to all of...
