I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bayard Arts and Antique Markets, and it was a delightful experience. The markets are composed of artisan and boutique cottages, each run by different vendors, offering a unique and diverse range of products. Each cottage has its own distinct flair, making it a treasure trove of discoveries.
One aspect that struck me about Bayard Arts and Antique Markets was the vendors' genuine enthusiasm for welcoming visitors. They are eager for you to explore the village, take your time, and enjoy the charming atmosphere. The vendors are passionate about sharing the history behind the Beautyrest Cabins, adding a fascinating layer of storytelling to the experience.
Visiting the markets on a hot day with a wagon stroller might seem like a challenge, but it's certainly manageable. Although there is a lot to take in, the vibrant energy and eclectic mix of goods make it all worth it. You can stroll through the markets at your own pace, browsing through the various stalls, and discovering hidden gems along the way.
Whether you're an art enthusiast, antique collector, or simply looking for a unique shopping experience, Bayard Arts and Antique Markets is a must-visit. The blend of artisans, boutiques, and historical significance creates a captivating ambiance that will leave you wanting to come back for more. Soak in the village's charm, explore the markets, and get ready to be inspired by the remarkable offerings...

Be sure to stop in and visit Deris who provides massages by appointment and also makes candles. In the center courtyard you'll find a large, open-air barn with flea market type wares. The many cats on the property are spayed and cared for by the property owner. This 100-year-old treasure was once a popular stop for travelers...
Read moreSome negative reviews that Bayard Antique Village is a lot of junk. Well, I was there twenty five years ago. So NOTHING has changed. The phrase is "antiques and collectibles." You have to spend a lifetime looking thru junk to find the hidden treasures. Bayard is more collectibles than antiques. Lets be realistic: these type of places need to pay bills. So they'll take any vendor who can pay rent on a vendor stall. If you want real antiques, you have go online and find the antique shows scheduled around the country. Nothing special about Bayard. I can tell you if its as bad as people say, well, it was the same...
