Thoughts: My wife and I know of a few spots around Jax to get some good deserts but not nearly enough. So we decided to sample a new location that seems to have gotten pretty good reviews. Amaretti deserts didn’t disappoint in any way. The staff was incredibly helpful and talked us through his favorite deserts.

Ultimately we ended up deciding on the Tiramisu, which is a personal favorite of both my wife and I, and the white chocolate bread pudding, because it was recommended so highly. While I absolutely loved Tiramisu, the bread pudding was possibly what was most surprising. I say this because most bread pudding I have ever had is incredibly sweet, often far too sweet for me to enjoy it. I much prefer European style desserts that are richer, but much less sweet than most American desserts.

The Tiramisu had just the right amount of espresso, and rum, giving it a very strong but good flavor. The cream was also just right and the lady fingers were not to over soaked in run so it still had a firm yet creamy texture. The bread pudding was spot on, not too soggy, but not too dry, resulting just the right consistency. And, like I said before, the flavor was a good white chocolate flavor with plenty of sweetness from the bread pudding but nothing overly sweet that left you choking down the desert.

I'm sure that we will be back in the future to sample different desserts but in the meantime I would recommend going to anybody in the area looking for...

I ordered a cream cheese King Cake and a cinnamon King Cake for my work team to celebrate Fat Tuesday. I began by emailing Donna at Amaretti to ask about pricing etc. and emailed a few more times to ask questions about the number of servings etc. She was always quick to respond and very helpful. We placed our order last week and scheduled a 10:30am pick up. At work, a meeting was scheduled during this timeframe so I called the baker to ask if I could pick them up earlier. I was surprised to hear that they were baking the cakes that very morning so I wouldn't be able to change the pick up time. WOW! I was impressed that they would be THAT fresh! When my coworker picked up the cakes, they were still warm and they smelled amazing. In my limited experience, I have only seen and tasted very dry, bland king cakes. And to be honest, most of my coworkers had the same experience with them so our expectations weren't high. But let me tell you, they changed my mind with these cakes! First, they were HUGE! We were able to cut the cakes into 8 or more slices. They were moist and airy. The cream cheese one was HEAVEN! I haven't had any other experiences with this bakery. I haven't tried any other items but based on my experience with this order, the quality and the price, I will definitely do business with them...

I visited this bakery for a Father's Day dessert and was very impressed. The bakery is located in a strip center so the parking was ample and the grounds were maintained well. The exterior sign is clearly visible from the main road which is helpful for those who not use or have GPS. Upon entering, I was cheerfully greeted by a staff member who was clean, well groomed and extremely polite. The interior is understated with a modern design that was both relaxing and welcoming. The bakery was very clean and well organized and had interior and exterior seating for their customers. I ordered a piece of chocolate cake and was offered an additional damaged piece at no charge which was a pleasant surprise. My dad absolutely loved the cake and mentioned how moist and flavorful it was without being too sweet. I would rate this place as being a very good value given the exceptional service, high quality and portion size in relation to the prices. This bakery is well managed, has a very good staff and uses top quality ingredients and represents what bakeries can be when those things are in place. I drove about 18 miles out of my way to visit this bakery and the next time I'm in Jacksonville, I'll drive 18 more.
