As someone who would know⌠this facilityâs staff are doing their best. Most of the downfalls are not the nursesâ, clinical scheduling department memberâs, or the case workerâs fault; But, the funding providerâs fault. In this economy we are all facing negative outcomes. When people hear the term âhealthcareâ, they immediately think of a white room with a sheeted chair and a small sink. They think of a wall covered with medically related paraphernalia. But, most importantly, they think of a figure with a white coat and an answer to every problem they have. However, the white coat doesnât make the person anymore valuable than the person in a TJ Maxx-purchased âbusiness attireâ outfit who signs you in during your visit. We are all human. Thus, mistakes are inevitable. Think to yourself, âCould I always provide perfection and the exact services that even a âkarenâ would approve of?â With that being said, the staff here have done the best that they could; With the amount of the population that they serve, the funding that they receive, and the ease of finding answers for medical board exams online⌠the staff have surpassed my professional medical opinion of what this organization was capable of giving me. The staff that have been hired here, have been EXCELLENT at providing care to me. Also, by observation, they have made their highest effort to help EVERYBODY equally. And, to specifically direct my acknowledgement to the staff; I have experienced consistent kindness. All of the staff members I have met, and had the pleasure of observing, have been of the utmost quality. They have all presented great personality, relatability, and compassion. I am proud to say that I have been a VERY long-term patient, served by this facility.
And, if youâve taken the time to read this entire review, please know⌠I am extremely picky about everything. They have done their best. Sometimes, we need to sit back and realize that the people in healthcare are also HUMAN. They are YOU, if you wouldâve went their route.
So thank you, to the Onslow county health department, for your continued perseverance to improve our communityâs service...
Read moreI don't know the name of the lady that answers calls, but she is an amazing lady. Very kind and thoughtful. She answered my calls on 2/24, and I'm grateful for how caring she was. However, this nurse, Whitney, was absolutely awful. The way she spoke to my teen son and daughter was inexcusable, inappropriate, and will not go unnoticed. She was so out of line with how she spoke to them, that they both came home upset and hurt mentally. Clearly, Whitney needs some schooling on tact and boundaries, ESPECIALLY when dealing with children who have history of anxiety and trauma. I will never see her again for any reason.
I can't reply to the comment about taking my concerns to leadership. I'm sorry, but that isn't enough. Still today, I'm dealing with the aftermath of what she caused for my kids. She effectively has undone so much hard work and progress, in one highly inappropriate foul swoop. I'm taking this issue far higher than leadership. She deserves consequences. My kids are not ok because of her behavior. When the school recommended we go there to quickly get healthy assessments done, I never imagined how much we'd regret a...
Read moreI've been coming here on and off since I was 13, and I have to say, things are still running smoothly. As long as you book your appointment ahead, the wait time isn't that long for getting seen, the nurses who do labs are very considerate when drawing your blood, especially the trainees, and the pregnancy Care team is very considerate of your separate situations, and has worked with me through my homelessness and other issues with outstanding regard for safety and compassion. It is sometimes hard to get a phone call through, but that's only because they're so busy. Despite having limited their hours due to covid, I still got my WIC paperwork done within a quick time manner, and was able to receive my card the same day as talking to the nutritionist! Overall not a bad place, especially if you've had issues with other offices in the past, and they don't discriminate against any personal issues. Grew up in foster care, I'm currently homeless and pregnant, and they look past that and see that I'm currently trying my hardest so they work very hard with me, and I...
