I went into Jaxco April 6th looking for a new couch and i also love to shop local and support local businesses. i had just moved to jacksonville and needed to furnish my apartment. i found the perfect couch for my myself and worked with Jaelle to get the order placed. ETA was 2-4 weeks, not a problem. about 2 weeks later i get an updated that it wouldn’t be here until 5/16. that didn’t sit right with me because i would be out of town that week and have a lot of upcoming travel in the next following weeks. but then few days later got an update that it would be 5/2 ETA. the week of 5/2 rolls around and it’s now pushed to 5/9. i’m irritated and getting nervous at this point is on 5/8 i sent an email asking for an updated ETA. no response. i send another email on 5/9 following up seeing if i can get an ETA. few hours pass and i get a text that my shipment has been received and to text back to set up delivery and i say tomorrow, 5/10 would be great. i work mon - thurs and am off on fridays so a friday delivery would be perfect. they shoot back and say they don’t have anything until 5/14. i explain that’s nkt going to work until it’s early morning or after work hours i work 10 hour shifts and then the following day i was leaving for travel. they ask if there’s a neighbor or friend or family memeber who could be there to accept the delivery. i explain that i just moved here a month ago i don’t know anyone nor do i have any family here. plus, i wanted to be there i am so excited for this couch. i get nk response back and at this point im like ok. i probably would not be able to schedule a delivery until mid june and im sick of sitting on the floor i can easily just have something here from amazon vs waiting another month to get my couch. so i send another text explaining how i felt about the situation and not wanting to wait any longer and asking what my options are for a refund. 30 minutes later they shoot back with they can do a delivery TODAY. i am now sitting on my couch comfy and cozy and happy with my purchase but more importantly i’m so impressed with Jaxco customer service. Jaelle was sweet and great to work with and whoever made my delivery happen today i appreciate you! 10/10 would recommend doing your furniture shopping here! they have a matching recliner that i think i might have to go back for. Great selection of furniture and...
Read moreI ordered an entertainment unit from this company, the purchase was approx $2,000, give or take a hundred dollars or so. The delivery people unpackaged it in my home and one of the major components was damaged. The woman who claims to be store manager that I spoke with on the phone, refuses to call me back about damage to item and timeline for when this item is going to be resolved. The delivery people were very nice, it's not their fault. But the way this is handled "per their policy" in not acceptable. Manager "apologizes for how I feel" instead of apologizing for the damage to the item I purchased.
Hopefully this issue is resolved in a timely fashion but I would not recommend shopping with this company as they can't be bothered to place phone calls about damaged furniture.
Furthermore there was an attempt to get my to sign for delivery (again not the delivery people's fault, obviously this is the policy of the store and the equipment they give their delivery people) on a blank screen with no way to know what I was signing, so I refused signature. Not sure why they don't give their delivery people papers to sign.
They also ask you to leave a 5 star review before you even receive your item, I received texts requesting a review when I left the store even though delivery of furniture was weeks away.
Edited: I upped my review form 1 star to 3 stars. The broken piece was delivered and installed today. The delivery team was very nice and clearly takes pride in their work to assemble furniture. The furniture piece was unnecessarily hard to assemble which is a manufacturing issue.
JaxCo did respond to my review which you can see below, saying they tried to call me. But this was after they told me up and down they do not call people about broken furniture. I guess they do call after all, so I'm not sure why she refused to call me when I spoke to her from me calling the store. But by then the whole interaction had left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be shopping with this company again, but in the end they did deliver my furniture and handle the broken piece, and their delivery team was nice...
Read moreI had the best experience here.
To start I had been looking for a sectional for my new home and had been to a few places, one place in particular I found a couch I loved, but the sales rep was so pushy. Like literally made me feel awkward and uncomfortable so I said I would be back as we weren’t making the purchase that day.
I ended up checking out JaxCo Furniture because I had been following them on IG and saw they had some really great stuff. So I went in after work one Friday and was greeted by Ryan who was so chill and not pushy at all! Told us to have a look around and if we had any questions to let him know. So that’s what we did and there were several pieces of furniture that I loved.
Went to Ryan and asked all of my questions and we decided on a few pieces. He made it so easy and assured me that they were flexible with delivery as our new home is being built so we don’t have a set move in date.
Over a couple of weeks I had been in contact with Ryan adding and removing a piece or two as we determined something would or would not fit. He was so patient with me the entire time.
Finally went in last night to confirm everything and make payment and Ryan was so gracious entertaining my dad’s “dad jokes” and stories.
What made my experience so great was Ryan! He was never pushy one bit and made me feel comfortable asking his opinion on what he thought would match. He remembered my name and took the time to actually have a conversation with me outside of furniture talk. I’ll definitely be coming back to work with Ryan for any other furniture we may need.
Thanks...
