Crafty Crab — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Poor communication among waitresses!! When we visited this location it seemed that everything would run smoothly since there were very few people inside at the time. A waiter by the name of Jasmine said she be serving us and took our drink order. A few minutes later waitress Paula came to our table and said she’d be our server. We let her know that Jasmine was seat taking care of us. Paul’s asked Jasmine if she wanted her to take care of us since Jasmine has started in another table. Jasmine told her no she had it. A few minutes later Jasmine came back to our table to take our order but realized she had forgotten her tablet so she said she’d be right back. Right back turned into her waiting in 3-4 tables and some customers who had come in after us starting to receive their food. We waved down Paula to ask if she’d still be willing to take our order since Jasmine was busy and Paula said she’d get Jasmine so she wouldn’t steal her table. When Jasmine walked towards our table it was as if she had completely forgot that she was working with us. She asked Paula what table she had missed and after Paula showed her she grumbled that this wasn’t even her table but she’d get it anyway. Paula said I didn’t know I can get it so Jasmine walked away and let her. Paula did apologize (even though it wasn’t her fault-she would have she’s taken our order had it not been for the other waitress saying she had it in the first place) she did say that she wouldn’t charge us for the drinks for the long wait. By then we had been waiting a good 30-45 minutes. After Paula took our order we continued to see others getting their food and after another 15 or so minutes we just decided to get up and leave. First time going and last time going. Food wasn’t that good compared to the other competitors, place was veryyyyy unprofessional the music that was playing was fine butttt then u have the customers being too loud and the workers didn’t think to ask to keep it down just a little my server recording the customers twerking hanging out by the bathroom with them not only that she took long periods of time to return and check on 2 people maybe because she wasbtoo turnt up with the others my second cup of tea tasted spoiled smh everything was just disappointing for a first visit from the food to service to unprofessionalism wayyyy to the bathroom that was barely clean and didn’t have many customers last but not least Marcus , Marcus is someone I’m going to assume work there but just happen to be off that day Marcus was the worst completely loud that’s who my server was kicking it with while I’m looking for her so no she didn’t receive a tip and Marcus decides to storm out the restaurant like he was looking for me because I didn’t leave my server a tip lol smh the foolery I hope they can improve because it’s too soon of a opening to be having one too many issues like such especially when there is potential there please get your young staff under control and if your going to have a environment where there is music at least try to keep your customers/off the clock employees at an appropriate...

3/2/24 Let’s jump in okay so upon arrival I was greeted they had my section ready I had called ahead. The service could have been a LOT BETTER but all is well BECAUSE I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK. Our waitress who I can’t name because she never gave it at least not no me considering I was the hosting party had a…. Let’s call it aggressively nice demeanor…. wasn’t directly rude but it was in the air. Trying to run her tips up running half the restaurant our food was all over the place… We had one child that did not order and one waiting on food while the rest of the kids were half way through their meal. Mind you his mother ordered first. Had to ask for refills 3 different times and still waited to be refilled. On a positive note the food was delicious but the service was disappointing and embarrassing considering I invited people here to celebrate my child’s birthday.

The check I had to dispute because another combo was added. It was fixed it the end but being told well it has to be paid is complete and utterly……yeah……I paid the adjusted amount and left as I was to angry and it was my child’s birthday and causing a scene is not what I wanted him to associate this birthday with. In reality they all are associated with each other but I get better service at Juicy Crab and will not EVER come back to this location for my sanity....
