Once in a while a coffee shop opens that’s incredible in every way, and you wondered how you ever lived without it. That could definitely become Postmasters. The coffee is excellent, the staff are knowledgeable, the environment is welcoming, and the venue is one of a kind. Here’s what’s awesome: The coffee is from Silver Grizzly so you’re getting quality beans. The staff is informed, they know what they’re talking about, and they’re very helpful when it comes to those who may be tip toeing into the coffee world. The baked goods are made in-house…need I say more? Do yourself a favor, and try the apple muffin. The building itself is a historical wonder. Take the time to look around and take it all in. There is plenty of space to meet with a friend, have a work meeting, or hide in a corner with a book.
Here’s where they are growing: It recently opened and the place is Huge! So there are lots of wide open spaces they are slowly filling with seating, plants, Local artwork, etc. It may feel a little overwhelming when you first walk in as they continue to foster an environment that caters to both groups and...
Read moreI have been waiting three years to give this review. Three years ago, I started a master's degree. Because, at the time, I did not have internet at my apartment, I frequented Postmasters to use their internet. The service and atmosphere have always been great, and they treat me like family. You will not find a more friendly, spacious atmosphere in Jacksonville (trust me, I visited every coffee shop and restaurant with free wifi in the area). Postmasters is my first choice for coffee and a good environment. Also, the internet service is very good and I never had any issues. I spent many early mornings and Saturdays studying at Postmasters. From couches to tables and chairs, they have many seating options. It is perfect for studying. The food and drinks are of excellent quality. I have recently graduated with my degree and express great appreciation and thanks to Postmasters Coffee Company for being a crucial part of my educational success. I literally could not have done it without you. Keep up the good...
Read moreWe stopped in for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The venue and atmosphere were very inviting. There were lots of nooks for intimate seating. Even though it was after noon, the coffee was still good. I had their quiche, which was quite unique yet very tasty. My wife had a cranberry walnut chicken salad croissant, which she really enjoyed. The background music was just right to complement a peaceful setting. It's not quite home, but it's a wonderful alternative.
12/8/23 Update - The last two times I've visited, they've been set up for private events on the side. One, a wedding reception, and the other a Christmas party. They have enough floor space for it while still leaving space for their regular customers. It makes for a charming venue.
5/15/24 Update. This has become our go-to coffee shop. Only wish it was closer to us. Even so, we're here several times a week. Their coffee is the only place in the area that beckons me back for...
