CubeSmart Self Storage — Attraction in Jefferson Township

Relocated to take advantage of ON LINE 1st Month Free Promotion (some fine print but staff was great and made it easy to use). Another reason I relocated to this Portage Park CubeSmart is it’s got the Best Loading Dock with three bays, all column free, which makes for easy backing in / out.

At Addison & Central Avenues, it makes for easy access & it’s a brand-new well kept facility. Heads up: You can enter thru CVS parking lot off of Addison, or use Central Avenue servicing both CVS & this CubeSmart of Portage Park (just North of Addison where Patterson dead ends into Central). My experience with CubeSmart on 8/6/24 at the Central Ave., location in Chicago was great thanks to Anibal. He was really professional, very pleasant, and extremely helpful in explaining everything and answering my questions. When moving your items and trying to find a place to store them it can be a bit stressful. But it’s ALWAYS a great thing to have someone in place with great customer service that shows kindness, and is helpful to make everything an easy process. THANK YOU ANIBAL!

@cubesmart you need to give Anibal a raise! Prices have gone up on EVERYTHING! It’s really great to have someone so pleasant not just doing their job because they feel they have to. BUT actually doing their job because they enjoy it and exuding kindness...

The space itself is nice (units as advertised, and big load/unload area). Next to CVS too, so convenient access to Gatorade and water in the Chicago summer heat. However, their pricing is disingenuous. Two months after moving in, I had my rate raised close to 100%, despite assurances from the office manager when moving in that it would be 12 months at minimum before rates are raised. If you plan on extended use, pay your full amount upfront… otherwise, you can set your clock to an unpleasant rate raise once it’s clear your things are there to stay and it will be difficult/impossible for you to move out.
