I called the restaurant for a pick-up order. The staff member which is the same lady as my two previous bad customer service experiences did the exact same thing didn’t even put my call hold she just put the phone down and said “I’ll be right back” that turned into a 10 minute hold in where I could hear all the conversation going on and the staff members did not sound like they were working instead I was hearing conversations about shopping, diamonds and other irrelevant things that they should not be talking about when performing service to a customer. I was already driving on the way so by the time I got there I kept my phone on while waiting and went up to the register and caught them red handed just relaxing and talking while I was waiting on the phone. I told them in person “ So this what you do while you place customers on hold? The lady proceeded to use irrelevant excuses. If I were the owner or manager of the restaurant I’d address this issue… I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and never had service issues. Note to owners and manager… coach your staff or replace them with better performers because the current staff are ridiculously poor in customer service. To add to this, this not my first bad experience with this current staff running the place, this already about my 8th inconvenience in s short span of 3 months so I had enough and deserve one star. I’ll be calling to speak to a manager when they are available tomorrow. I love the food and quality but that staff’s service is...
Read morePlease stay open forever...I have tried them all...and with sincere apologies to runner up Jersey Mikes... BOB-O-RINOS is the absolute best sub there will ever be. I like Al's Barbeque for roast beef and Heros when I was a kid at Lane Tech...i just wandered in one day not expecting much and (I am huge eater with a huge appetite)...four huge heavy Turkey (lettuce tomato onion mayo and cheese subs on the freshest softest bread) subs later I walked away smiling. Where did you come from BOB-O-RINOS???
I wasted my life trying to get the Subway lady to put a substantial sandwich together when she sprinkles the tomato slices and olives like fairy dust. This is what God meant a submarine sandwich to be...worthy of Dagwood Bumsted (google Blondie). Fresh delicious hearty heavy worth every penny sandwich. Forget shopping around for coupons and two for one deals and eating unhealthy hamburgers and hot dogs. This is a real meal in a bun made by people who care. As good as your mom would make if she had unlimited access to a deli and wanted you to have leftovers...you get your money's worth and top quality. Recommended ten stars BEST OF THE BEST without hesitation stop searching the Holy Grail of sandwiches is here. Unbelievable wish I...
Read moreBob-O-Rino’s is a must-visit spot in Chicago for anyone who loves authentic, no-frills comfort food. I stopped by recently for lunch and was blown away by the quality and flavors. Their Italian beef sandwich is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned, thinly sliced beef piled high on a fresh roll. I got mine dipped with sweet peppers, and it was a total game-changer.
Their Chicago-style hot dog was another standout. It came loaded with all the classic toppings: mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, a pickle spear, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt, all on a steamed poppy seed bun. Every bite was perfection! I also tried their onion rings, which were crispy, golden, and not overly greasy—just the way I like them.
The staff at Bob-O-Rino’s are incredibly friendly and efficient. My order was ready quickly, and they even checked in to make sure everything was just right. The restaurant has a casual, retro vibe that feels both welcoming and nostalgic. Plus, the prices are super reasonable, especially given the portion sizes and quality.
If you’re in the Chicago area and looking for top-notch Italian beef, hot dogs, or other Chicago-style eats, Bob-O-Rino’s is a spot you won’t want to miss. I’ll...
