3.3 stars. Men's changing area functional but ancient. Men's share a single stool that's barely handicapped accessible...Not much privacy...Women's is also old I am told. With One bench no real changing area. Lockers outdoors. Adult, Open and family swim. Check their online schedule. Nice lifeguards!

We caught the last days of the outdoor pools season 2022. Rhonda T and Gaspar P were helpful CPD gatekeepers. Guests seemed well mannered, except for kids who have to run...

The lifeguards and deck guards were respectful and answered our questions. 15 minute safety breaks on the :45s to clear the decks was a pain...You have to remove yourself and all your possessions outside of fences...

No bags or packs allowed on deck, lockers available. Bring a lock. Lastly, having all chairs, lounges and table on the East side is a total pain for everyone! Move some of them over to the west ...

This park has everything you can think of. For warmer weather aquatics, there's a large outdoor pool with kiddie-friendly area, picnic tables, diving tank, lockers, and an extensive separate splash pad. For colder weather, there's an indoor pool. There are baseball diamonds and soccer / futbol fields that also work well for kites. There is a dog park and tennis courts along the north edge. There's a senior center with regular classes and cheap lunches. The playground is comprehensive. You will see interesting characters especially near the southwest corner entrance at Irving Park & Central. But in my experience, they keep to themselves and leave you alone. Crossing Irving Park Road (a stroad) is never fun. But once you're across, you can find whatever you need...

NO PUBLIC BATHROOMS! (Only 2024 - July - 30th Update. They state they have no money to fix the playground. My wife has been trying for three years. That is their statement look at the photos on how disgusting it is. I do not take my children here anymore. I drive to another park, but they can put in Pickleball courts for the rich people they want to move in into this neighborhood. bathrooms are in the indoor pool building that is closed most of the time) Outdoor Pool is closed on Sundays, and the farmers market is a joke. If those 3 things were addressed this park would get 5 stars. I’d post a pic of the port-o-potty by the tennis courts but...
