Walt Disney's Birthplace Home — Attraction in Jefferson Township

It's interesting enough. I guess if you were a real Disney fan, this would be a great place to add to your scrapbook of Disney memories. Be that as it may, it was only slightly interesting to me, as I'm not a big fan one way or the other. The home is situated in a living, breathing, neighborhood; so I'm glad it's not that big of an attraction, since I wouldn't like to see hundreds of people tromping about a residential area just to see a house.

The house is beautifully reconstructed, honoring the original architectural choices made by Elias Disney. None of the preservation efforts feel forced; instead, the tour highlights the thoughtful work the organization has put into restoring the house to closely resemble what it would have looked like when Walt Disney lived there.

I really enjoyed learning about the reconstruction process itself, as well as the stories the tour guides shared about the Disney family.
