Tropicuba — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I want to give a special shout out to the owner of this establishment. I placed an order through uber eats. On my jibarito order I had to chose a cheese, it was required. Otherwise, I couldn't add it to my cart. My daughter has a dairy allergy and can't have cheese. So I made sure to put in the notes section of the jibarito and in the notes sections for the overall order "No Cheese Please...I had to choose a cheese to add it but No Cheese. Once the restaurant accepted the order, I called them to confirm they saw the notes regarding No cheese. The young woman confirmed and said there would be no cheese. Well, when we received our order there was cheese on it. I called back and spoke to the young woman again. She sincerely apologized and said I could come pick up a new one. I explained I am 5 miles away and have no vehicle at the moment. She took my number and called the owner. 3 minutes later she called asking for my address and said he would drive it to me and offered another sincere apology. Sure enough he delivered my daughter's jibarito made the correct way in a thunder and lightening storm. Let me start off by saying hands on customer service little joint. Owner was really engaging and made sure food was great and everything was the way it was suppose seems family owned but that's me guessing. Oyher then that the experience and service was excellent. The Food was great we had cheese, ham, and egg sandwiches repeat it also some drinks as well. There traditional garlic sauce goes well with the food but that's just my opinion, give it a try if you like saucing your food like I do. For those that love coffee didn't try myself personally but seems like a nice lil coffee spot a lot of people come in for it. Also if your not too big on the breakfast thing they do have steak sandwiches on Sunday morning that early. Other fruturas which would be like entrees like empanadas etc etc. Owner was super friendly, humble and suggest to try ox tail next time we're in it's suppose to be a hit and of course delicacy. The presentation is fun and colorful, there is plenty of seating inside music playing in the background. this is a family oriented restaurant i came with a party of 5 but I would come here with friends. the service is great the waitress and waiter work together and they do a great job. we were seated right away i think you can sit anywhere you'd like. our order was taken right away as far as drink she brought them right away. we looked at the menu and ordered Ropa vieja sandwiches (so good) I paired it with the green garlic sauce they have and it just intensified the flavor the sandwich is in my opinion large for a reg. I was full with half..
