J-Town Hardware is your typical home-town hardware store, and I love it!

Situated near the main intersection in J-Town, the store has a storied, legacy feel to it, as if it's been there for generations and it keeps getting handed down from one generation to the next. It's the kind of place where, no matter what you're looking for, someone on staff knows exactly where it is, and that's exactly what happens every time I walk in.

Need an old-style BUS fuse to replace a blown one? They've got it and they'll take you right to it. Need some self-sealing stem bolts? They've got those, too. Fabricated half-inch pipe? You betcha!

Parking is a breeze. There are a few municipal spaces out front, and then additional parking along the alley next to the building and in the back.

The staff knows what they have, and also has suggestions if you're not sure what approach to take for a project/problem/emergency you're facing, and at very reasonable prices! Yea, you could drive a couple miles away to save a few pennies on something...or you could just get it here and not have to worry about driving up Taylorsville Road.

I love going to this place. I have gone there for multiple reasons. Lamps repaired, antique mirrors repaired for me, tool questions and demonstrations, Lots of how do I? From me. They always have an answer and take the time to really connect and explain. I am grateful that there remains a smaller space in Jtown where I know they will have excellent customer service. I’ve even sent mail and faxes.I also love just walking through the door of the renewed but still respectful space of it’s history. The bell at the door, the original flooring, the atmosphere is like an old country hardware store. Fast and friendly service. My wife and I have shopped here since moving to JTown and I love this place. Their selection is varied and quirky, they have things you would not expect to find so it is worth just going to look for yourself

Most recently I rented a dethatcher and bought grass seed. The gentleman that assisted me was great and really knowledgable. I definitely reccomend visiting here over the big box stores.

Their firewood is incredibly inexpensive also and an awesome service to have so close to home, my wife and I love our fires in the fireplace over the winter. I'm on the verge of never shopping at Home Depot or Lowes again if I keep having these great...
