An ad for Misoās popped up on my facebook feed one night, I went to their website to check it out and ended up going to visit the very next day.
I want to get into D&D terrain building and they have an AMAZING collection of supplies. It COULD have been overwhelming a little if not for how super helpful the staff was! I was greeted the moment I walked in and asked if there was anything specific I was looking for. (I wish I could remember his name š¤¦āāļø) He was extremely knowledgeable on what I wanted to know and he walked me around showing me all of the different things they had to offer, answering all of my questions and giving some great advice and honest opinions on what they had to offer or even alternatives for the FEW things they didnāt sell.
I ended up getting a couple of D&D books that I had been wanting for a while, and a couple sets of really cool dice! I then went downstairs to check out the rest of the store and saw at least 4 different groups of people all playing different games! The energy was amazing!
I received another friendly greeting from the staff downstairs and was again asked if I needed help finding anything, but at this point I was just browsing. However I may have got ANOTHER set of really cool dice š
The one and only downsideā¦.. I didnāt get to meet Miso that day 𤣠but it was a Sunday and even little pups need a day off! 𤣠Hopefully Iāll get to run into Miso next time! I will definitely be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLearned about this store at a small convention in Louisville. Miso's is a very unique FLGS with friendly staff! Though the store is a little cramped, it is very well organized with plenty of tables for playing games. Though I didn't have time to sit and play, I'd love to come back during one of their game nights.
They have a large collection of unique figures organized by theme and many shevles full of funko pop. What interested me the most was their collection of wargame minis. While most FLGSs have a large stock of a few select games, Miso's had a nice variety of different tabletop wargames to choose from with starter boxes for most of them. This is excellent if you are looking to branch out into a different strategic tabletop wargame.
Additionally, they had a section of what looked to be pre-owned or open box games which was alot of fun to look through. My husband pointed out that they had some old AD&D and 2nd addition D&D materials which I thought was really cool to see in a local store.
I have seen many FLGSs through my travels, many of which tend to feel like cookie-cutter copies of others. Miso's sets itself apart from some of the other Louisville FLGSs I have been to with its unique arrangement and stock, it's friendly staff, and it's good prices. I will definitely...
