I've enjoyed making a point to stop in every time I am in Tulsa which is usually every couple of months. I am a HUGE supporter of local businesses whenever possible and have chosen Roark Acres over any other honey supplier since I visited for the first time last year. Yesterday I made the drive from OKC and was excited to finally weed through the construction to get stocked up on all of our favorites. Upon starting to shop, the long drive caught up with me and I needed to use the restroom.
The clerk, seeing I had multiple items in my hands and of course was not finished shopping by any means, told me no "public" restroom, the closest to use was the KFC across the street! I was quite shocked as I understand not having a "public" restroom but I didn't just wander in from off the street, I was a PAYING CUSTOMER for goodness sakes! Read moreWe stopped in after a day of antiquing and we were not disappointed! Cute, whimsical, and homey are just a few words to describe this adorable local honey shop.
They have everything honey/bee themed and the cashier is friendly and helpful! Honey bear candles and mini bear bottles of honey, teeny tiny bottles of local honey with the comb, creamed honeys of every flavor, soaps and lip balms, a wall of sweet honey based treats as you walk in that is a huge hit with the kiddos. They even have a refrigerated section dedicated to local farm fare!
What an absolute gem! I’m so glad we happened upon it. 10/10 will...
