A must see location when visiting the New York City / northern New Jersey area. The views are breathtaking and the monuments are truly astonishing. Excellent photo opportunities. I enjoyed how they were able to preserve so much of the original train track areas and it provides you with a self-guided trip down memory lane into what the area used to be and how it shaped the areas's history.
I also highly reccomend checking out Liberty House for dining when you are finished...
Read moreHBLR is a great line on a normal day. But there’s ALWAYS shuttle buses between Jersey Ave/Liberty Park and Bayonne almost every weekend because of “maintenance.” You might as well start a Garfield Ave Line along the HBLR route (maybe to replace the 4 Bus) that was discontinued years ago.
Between this and the Bayonne Flyer, it’s ALWAYS something to inconvenience Richard St and Danforth Ave commuters...
