Bottom line: 5 stars all the way! If we were local, we would be regulars. Will visit again when we are in the area!!
We visited May 9th after a 10 hour drive. We came across this restaurant on the GPS and decided to stop in for breakfast before continuing our trip. I am so glad we did! It was just what we needed to continue on. Not only were the food and drinks delicious but the customer service was top tier!
I wish we got the name of the individual who served us. I believe she was the owner. She took time to speak with us, made suggestions on what we could order (my husband loved the big Johnston breakfast), engaged with my toddler with kindness and playfulness which was so helpful after a long drive. We were so grateful for her. The service was above and beyond. She even helped us with parking suggestion which was confusing for us as we were out of town.
Loved how she engaged with the other customers and her regulars. You could definitely tell that the customer service we experienced was not a one off experience. If you are reading this, thank you so much for your kindness and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Eggs Up and ordered the LSP with my eggs (over-easy) on the side. The restaurant is spotless, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is quick. The location itself is a huge plusāitās right beneath my apartment, which makes it incredibly convenient.
The LSP has a lot going for it, though there are a few areas that could be refined. The pastrami slices are flavorful, but a bit too thin, which causes them to dry out slightly; a thicker cut would add more texture and juiciness. The brioche bun is soft and enjoyable, but the bottom becomes soggy from the arugula. A touch more toastingāor slightly drier greensāwould help with structure. The sauce complements the sandwich nicely, though I could see mustard being an even stronger pairing. The pickled onions, however, are outstanding and really elevate the flavor profile.
Overall, the LSP is satisfying, well-portioned, and fairly priced. The outdoor seating in summer adds to the experience, and Iāll definitely be returning.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFinally, another cafe serving hot breakfast sandwiches! They have your classics and make the eggs to your liking. The catch here is the roll is a brioche roll (still great), and the sausage is a sausage link, not patty (tasted great). The sandwiches came out hot and fluffy, not pressed, which I love so much more. Two eggs so they're not skimping.
Eager to give their bagels a try and the rest of the menu, especially the biscuits and gravy, oy.
Cold brew is actually cold brew, not iced coffee so bonus points for being true to the coffee game.
Chai was not chai-ng. Not the spiced kind that I like sadly but tons of other options on the menu to explore.
4 stars for service because we asked for whole milk twice but ended up with oat anyway. We'll live. Their service is good, does the trick, ya know.
It gives cafe version of a greek diner. Welcomed addition to the neighborhood and hope they knock it out...
