So last month my mom's washing machine went out on her so she needed a new one to replace obviously so she asked what her best bet would be seeing as she knew she would be moving in a little over a month. I suggested renting one from your rent an center or Aarons seeing as she was moving into one of the towers downtown and wasn't sure she would be able to take appliances with her. She also did some research and decided to check R&R out while down there she spoke to the owner she explained to him her moving situation and also that she usually wasn't the one who handled these purchases and that her husband/my dad had passed away in July this past year. The owner Robert Rose told her that he would absolutely take care of her and was sympathetic to her situation in fact he would do even better and sell her a $300 washing machine and if she was not able to take it with her he would purchase it back for the 300 since she'd only have it a few weeks and also purchase her existing dryer from her as well. She was thrilled called me and told me just how nice of a man he was. So she purchased it on February 19th now my mom and my sister live together just them and maybe have done 2 loads of laundry since getting the machine(which R&R didn't hook up). Since then my mother found out she would not be able to take the machine with her and called the owner about his deal in which he told her he would come pick it up and check it out to make sure there was no damage and go from there. This morning he came to check it out told her he never gave her that deal and would purchase the washer back along with the dryer for 100 bucks 😮😮😮 I called and asked him if he could explain why he wouldn't hold up his end of the agreement and he told me there never was one and she could take the 100 or leave it. Is this how we do business these days make sales under false pretenses and take advantage of elderly women especially one who's world just crashed down upon her not...
Read moreI am thrilled to have found this place. Bob and Debbie answered my numerous questions promptly and with excellent knowledge. This will be my first stop for all of my appliance needs.
After finding R&R - I canceled my order from Lowe's and saved $300 to get the same thing. The customer service at R&R is SO much better than what I had received from companies like Lowe's.
The person's sent to my house for installation were amazing. They were kind, knowledgeable - and most importantly - spent EXTRA time to make sure the job was done RIGHT!
R&R included hookup, old appliance removal, and some niche adapters for my gas dryer. All of that came at NO additional costs outside of delivery. Larger chains will bleed you dry with all of the hidden fees. But not R&R - I feel that this is a company I can trust.
Lastly - I would like to highlight the $100 I saved for appliance removal. Larger chains won't buy your washer/dryer - they will CHARGE you to haul it off to a dump.
R&R works on old appliances to get them up and running and is then able to sell refurbished items at a much lower cost than any large company cpuld offer. They also have the knowledge to maybe work on or diagnose issues with.
All around - i feel that this is an amazing company to have in our community and I strongly recommend everyone to shop...
Read moreI bought a dryer on March 29th. On April 4th it broke. I was well within the 30 day warranty. I called the owner who assured me he would have it fixed and his repair guy would call. After waiting over a week I called back. I again was assured it would get fixed. The repair man never called, never showed up. The owner never called back. I kept trying to get the dryer fixed by R@R but everytime I called the owner had some excuse why the repair guy wasn't working that day. Finally he promised me he was sending the guy right over. 5 hours later they finally called me and told me the repair guy was too busy fixing his own air conditioning and qont be showing up. Now I've had to spend my own money to file a small claim with the Windber Magistrate to recover my money. See you in court R@R. And I'll be suing for much more than the cost of the dryer. Filing complaints with the BBB and PA Dept...
