Nell Hill's — Attraction in Kansas City

I used to love going to Nell Hills. Today was the first time I had been there in months. It was truly a disappointing experience. It doesn't have the same warm cozy feel that it once had. The selection was boring, uninspiring and not well curated it was filled with just stuff. Nothing I could not live without. I used to spend lots of time looking and always purchased things for my home. Today nothing. I purposely went today to look for fabrics. The staff was snotty and couldn't be bothered to assist me.When I asked for assistance to come up with a similar fabric to the one I brought a sample of the response was glazed over and the response was " oh yea I have seen that fabric at Calico Corners". That is not what I was asking. I wanted to find something at Nell Hills. I did find a fabric I was interested in and asked a different associate for information on it and got told I don't know the owner just left. Long story short, I left and made an appt. with Calico Corners. I hope they are...

Got these beautiful pillows a while ago and I LOVE THEM! The shopping experience was great and the people at Nell Hills are super friendly and customer service oriented even if you don't have millions of $$$ in your bank account. They took their time to show me all the different fabrics and pillow sizes and shapes. It took me a while to really make a decision which didn't matter to them as they waited patiently until I was ready to pick a fabric. I cannot really share some of the negative comments here in regards to the high prices. If you want less expensive furniture go to NFM or IKEA! If you go to Nell Hills you know that everything will be a little more expensive, but I think it's worth the trip and your money as you will find great and unique decoration as well as furniture that you won't find anywhere else. Nell Hills is my go-to destination for home furnishings and accessories. Love so many of the unique and beautiful product lines they carry in the store or that can be placed as a special order. Love that they are a one-stop shop for upholstery, wallpaper, and rugs as well as hard and soft good. This makes the design process seamless and allows for complete customization for so many of their lines. The sky is the limit.

Their designers are fabulous, especially Anne. She has a great eye, is super responsive and always goes above and beyond. My experience with every Nell Hills employee has always been just as great as it has been with Anne, from Katie, the owner, to the greeters, front sales desk people, in-home furniture installers and warehouse employees.
