Up till now I have been satisfied not to really say anything for against cubeworks or the new and improved Super Flea Market if you will, as an business person in the Northeast area I sought to do well by the new ownership, It's obvious they are here to make money and they think they can purchase this building and make whatever Well as we all know we all have the best of intentions when we start a project and I'm sure the cubeworks did likewise. I wish I could say it had worked out a little bit better. But true to form when they arrived I donated Halloween supplies so that they could decorate the Super Flea and and make it presentable for the patrons. And as Halloween past and Christmas came around I donated a half a semi load of Christmas decorations so that once again he works you can make the best presentation be presentable show the town that hey they just wanted to be one of us they wanted to be a part of things. And of course it was profitable for me to do so. It made sense for me to do it and sort of engender myself with the new ownership maybe give myself away up maybe be talked about wonderfully in certain circles and that's why guys like me donate thousands of dollars worth of merchandise to places like Cube works because at the end of the day we all want something. Well as all stories can be told January 18th happened. The boilers blew up at the Super Flea. You can see from the few photos that I posted that there is one collage of pictures prior to the boilers blowing up. A picture of the old Super Flea that we all know. And it wasn't just a picture of the old Super Flea but of the true Superflea that engendered the spirit and the livelihood of the actual flea market, we are talking about a living breathing creature we are talking about it's very soul and that is something that Cube Works has not been able to recreate. And that is most unfortunate and so you will see that in the letter pictures that while I rented another booth and had my rent doubled yet again over and again over that Christmas at the Super Flea in 2024 was but a hollow shell of what had been before. And yet as the patrons walked up and down the remodel Halls you could see remnants of the Christmas decorations that had been donated by D&J liquidations one year ago and nothing more had been added all they had to show the patrons of the new Super Flea were the old decorations from the old Super Flea. I had a good friend of mine stopping and visit me about 4 weeks before I decided that I would no longer be doing business with cubeworks his name was Ronald Boyd most of you know him as RB or R&B Automotive R&B Towing. He spent about an hour with me inside my shop as we talked and carried on and God knows that I didn't have a clue that they would be the last time I ever got to talk to that man because he would be dead a few weeks later. The last words out of this man's mouth as he left my shop are probably the most haunting and yet the most convicting of any words I've heard spoken in any of the other reviews are by any of the other former vendors at Super Flea, it was good knowing you Dave I won't see you again here at Super Flea. I looked or be right in the eye and tried to understand what the man was telling me. I had no idea he was talking about his health. He told me he was going to go see the doctor and that one shot could fix him he would take this shot and the doctor would just boom so he was okay and everything going to be just fine. That's what he said. Think about that for a moment! Since when is any doctor told that to any patient? There wasn't no Miracle shot he wasn't going to see the doctor he was just acting like everything was okay and yet telling me that it wasn't and I will never forget looking at Man's eyes as he left the Super Flea that day...
Read moreIt's always an experience at the Super Flea. Many different types of "shops" here. All offering products at discount pricing. From brand new tires to household item's, clothing, electronics, jewelry, fresh fruit and more..Super Flea is the place to find all you need. There are vintage items as well. It is only open on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $1. Well worth a dollar just to go in and browse. You will be surprised by what you find here. Parents with young children will want to keep children close by. There are clearly marked "street's" but it is very easy to get "lost" as the "blocks" are long. I did Notice plenty of Security/KCPD on site patrolling. Super Flea does have public parking and rest rooms. Also has a couple of places you can order a hamburger etc..a churro/funnel cake restaurant, a Fresh Fruit stand that Has Really good prices and product's. The fruit is always great even in the middle of winter. These two places are on the main level as you enter and leave the building. I highly recommend The Fresh Fruit Stand and the Funnel Cake place for a delicious sweet treat. I like to see what Super Flea has to offer, then as I am leaving, get my fresh fruit and funnel cake. Always a fun time at...
Read moreClosed for 6 to 8 weeks as of 27 Jan 2024. No signs no change of hours notice. Seems the new owners raised the cost of the booths to cover remodeling. Seems this idea was bad many vendors left and went elsewhere. The 63rd st drive-in flea is one of those. Superflea used to be awesome back in the day, but it has lost most of it's appeal to vendors and shoppers. I believe the new owners want superflea to be something it's not designed to be. There is also alot of wasted space at superflea. Maybe they could lower booth cost and add double the vendors? Flea markets are flea markets not department stores. The vendors and buyers are not usually rich, more likely poor or middle class. To expect to become rich using a building as a flea is just another failure of today's society. It's a shame, the old building is beautiful and historic, hope it doesn't get turned down because the new owners aren't getting rich. If you can stand being outdoors the 63rd st flea is awesome, the booth rent is low enough anyone can afford a space, buyers are not charged admission, and prices are fair because of that. Let us hope superflea comes back strong and full, but at this point it's not...
