Advent Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery — Attraction in Katy

I would’ve loved to get a tattoo here, the art looked amazing and the pictures of the shop are clean and professional. However, I was completely unsuccessful when I actually tried to make an appointment. I went through the process; go to the website, make a request, pick an artist and send in references, and I was told to give them 24hrs to respond. Thats pretty typical so I happily waited, and waited, and waited. Nearly a month later, I have still not heard back. I wanted these tattoos done for a concert, and now I’m not going to be able to get them at all until after because I waited so long, hoping to hear back from the artist I really wanted to have do them. I have no idea what happened, but no matter what it was, the complete radio silence just didn’t give me the vibes I expected from such a nice looking place. I understand an artist not wanting to do some tattoos, and that’s completely fine, I would’ve been completely understanding if that was the case and someone reached out to inform me of that so I could find a different artist. Very disappointed that I won’t be able to get my tattoos, and sadly, I don’t think I’ll be making any future efforts to get a tattoo here despite the obvious talent of the artists.

As a pretty crazy perfectionist who has never met a tattoo artist I fully trust, I was just BLOWN AWAY with Andrew Hoffman’s work. He is an artist of many skills/styles, and when I met with him about revamping a large shoulder/back piece of flowers, he listened to my desires very intently. Andrew enhanced my rather dull flowers to be miraculous works of art, with whimsical and abstract features. He even added in a profile-view of a gal’s face, which I’m obsessed with!! His line work is like none I’ve ever experienced, and his meticulous attention to detail is something I’ll be forever grateful for! Andrew also nursed me back to health with skittles and water when I felt faint during our second session together (it was because I failed to get good sleep/a hefty meal prior to my appointment). I quickly got yet another “revamp” by Andrew after he completed my huge flower piece, and I just couldn’t be happier with the turnout. Andrew is hands down my favorite artist I’ve ever worked with (and I have 15 tattoos from 12 artists all over the world); he will be the first person I reach out to for all my future tattoo wishes, no matter how differing the styles are. I’m so sadly disappointed with the tattoo artist Brittany, she does beautiful work and I booked my appointment with her over a month in advance gave my deposit and we were good to go! I was super excited! Well with in that time I got the dates mixed up thinking I was scheduled for the 26th when it ended up being on the 24th.. okay shiz happens. Being in the service industry my biggest pet peeve is her lack of customer services and getting back to her clientele... notice the time differences with these messages I sent her! I understand we all need a vacations from work but if you have clients coming up right after your vacation, am I wrong for thinking you should probably take 2 mins of your time to get with them??? I’m a hairstylist I understand the hustle of working with people as I am very busy myself but I would never legitimately ignore someone who is trying to support my business. Highly disappointed. I’d definitely would not recommend booking out way in advance with her. She also gives no other way of communicating with her besides Instagram yet she still never gets back to you.
