Just stop looking at the other tours to the Napali coast; you will only do as good as Capital Andy's. Period. Go ahead, click the button. My husband and I have been to Kauai twice and decided this time around to take a boat tour to the Na'paii coast. After reading the reviews of all the boat tours, we decided on Capital Andy's. We knew they had great reviews, but WOW, we were not prepared for how good it actually is. Let me preface: my husband Pete and I love a good boat cruise. We have been on many. Upon boarding, we were greeted by Emily and Logan, genuinely kind and excited people. They set the tone for the cruise. Once inside, Capital Dane did the safety breakdown. It was the best one bar none that we had heard. People were listening intently, and he presented the information in a kind and informative manner. Also, reassuring people that it is okay if you get seasick, the crew was there to help. Once underway, we sailed along the coast and made it to the main event, the Na'paii coast. WOW, what a view! Truly wonderful! I would suggest something to keep your phone in, like a case with a lanyard or something to wear around your wrist. The waters can be rough out there, and having a way to keep your phone secure is important. Captain Dane positioned the boat for Emily and Logan to serve the surf & turf dinner that Chef Garrett had prepared. It was a delicious meal while we slowly cruised back in the sunshine. 10/10 Logan and Emily, you both are phenomenal. Your attentiveness to all members on board, kindness to everyone, and genuine passion for the tour were noticed by all. We thank you both so much for making the trip so wonderful! Finally, a friendly reminder of a few things to bring: - A towel or change of clothes. If you sit towards the front, you will get wet and soaked. Don't be like us, and do not grab your raincoats from your backpack...in the boat's galley. - The ocean has waves. It is not the crew's fault if there are waves, but take Bonine the day before, again that morning with breakfast, and about 30 min before boarding the boat. As someone prone to seasickness, bonine will make you a pirate in no time. I had no issues with the boat rocking. Keep your eyes on the beach, and you will be all set! Thank you again to Captain Dane, Garrett, Emily, and Logan. They are truly wonderful people, and we are so thankful to have been on your boat today!

Too many others already posted amazing pictures, so I have to take another approach. Yes, a few pictures, but the story is the interesting part. Picked this in part as the owner actually replies to many postings here. Nive.to see an engaging management team. Thank you Captain Andy! Communication was amazing from start to end. Shout out to Dave and his crew, as well as Charlie who my wife thanked for "putting up with my husband". Charlie had a casual chat nature, still got all the work done, and shared insights. It was interesting to see the ease and comfort her and Micah brought to working the vessel and helping us all. Amazing views, sunsets, and memories, but some definite non expected bonus moments. Huge shout-out to the kitchen. Last night someone asked our Kauai Inn staff for the best steak on the island. I can now say that it's actually served just off the island onboard this tour. Seriously. Carrots, asparagus, and potatoes alone were amazing, but then shrimp and an incredible filet mignon as well as salad and dessert. So we got a tour of the coast. Plus saw whales. Plus saw dolphins. Plus drinks. Plus the best steak on (or near?) the island. Plus a spectacular team from ticketing, to registration and departure, to onboard, and safely back to land. Again, worth every penny as well as all the extra moments the crew helped make happen from taking photos to delivering drinks and keeping us safe. Also, shout-out to the management team. Every staff member loves working here! They are paid well, get benefits, and have room for promotion. So not only a great experience for the guests, but I can happily say you are supporting a business where the employees speak glowingly of the work environment. Wow! Thank you again and hope to be back in a few years and reconnect with the crew, the island, and the experiences.

We had a great time sailing with Capt Andy's Sailing Adventures! We booked well in advance for a sunset dinner cruise to the NaPali Coast. We arrived a little early day-of and we were able to walk around to some of the shops in the area before getting our briefing of the trip and heading down to the boat. We left the dock with two other catamarans at about the same time and started making our way around the island. The crew was very helpful, friendly, and informative. After we got going, they played some music and would tell us some facts as we were cruising around. They were all willing to help us take photos and made sure we were all having a good time. Once we were a little into the trip, the crew helped pass out appetizers and drinks. There were numerous areas to sit, we mostly stayed to the front of the boat. On our way out we saw a whale spray from a distance and some dolphins that hung out near the boat for a little while! We were able to see people hiking and goats climbing around, and get pretty close to the coastline in some spots. Once we reached the other side, we stopped and hung out while we were served dinner. The salad was hard to eat, as every time I would go to take a bite the wind would push most of it off my fork. The steak, shrimp, and corn was good! After cleaning up after dinner we made our way back, stopping to watch the sunset for a little bit. We were able to see some of there raft tours speed on by us on the way out. We were told that the smaller tours go into some of the sea arches and caves and get the high speed tour. I would love to try out some of their other tours and experiences!

I'm not one to do tours or any kind of organized trips while on vacation. I always feel it's not worth the money and usually feel ripped off by them. A friend of ours highly recommended a boat tour with Captain Andy's up the Napali Coast when we were in Kauai last month. I was hesitant but my family really wanted to do it. I am so glad we did! It was the highlight of our trip. From the start to finish, the experience was top notch. Check in was smooth and easy and before we knew it we were boarding the North Star. Safety was emphasized by the crew in a as a priority which I appreciate being with my family. We had a gorgeous day, the weather was perfect! We saw bottle nose dolphins, spinner dolphins, and Turtles while snorkeling. The crew was awesome as well, Captain Baron, Chef Mark, crew members Katie and Donovan. They were very informative talking about the history of certain areas and bringing our attention to points of interest and wildlife heading up the coast. My 3 kids had fun snorkeling, jumping off the boat and riding the Hawaiian rollercoaster on the front net of the catamaran on the sail back to port. The North Star is a beautiful boat. Even with some very minor technical difficulties (the soda gun broke, not a big deal but the kids were a little bummed) the crew tried their best to fix it and even did their best to accommodate for the kids disappointment. We will definitely do this again and even try some of CA Andy's other tours. I Highly recommend Captain Andy's if you are in Kauai.

I rarely am able to splurge on an experience like this (we chose the 6hr raft adventure tour) and after a magical experience today im excited to encourage anyone who is thinking about it (and are physically able to) to jump in and book it now!! My partner and I had the very best time. As soon as our crew (captain chase and kianu (sp?) throttled for takeoff and blasted Ozzy Osbourne I knew we were in for an amazing day. The sound track was great! Our tour included a riveting raft ride to and from na pali coast, spinner dolphins (twice), snorkling, rafting into a number of caves, gentle walk through indigenous fishing village restoration project, little bit of hawaian history lessons, and a catered meal for lunch that has been one of the best weāve had on the island so far. The crew was so friendly and helped everyone to feel welcome. Some protips to make this more enjoyable: if you have any back problems, choose a smoother type of boat, its a bumpy ride and youāll need to hold on tight, so wear shorts/bottoms that are comfortable inside and out (mesh swim trunks got a little grating), prepare for sun and choose reef safe sun screen, bring water though they had plenty to keep everyone hydrated, its ok if you dont have a drybag, they will have you covered, hats will likely fly off so choose one with draw string or prepare to not bring one for the ride. Most of all, be ready to have fun!!! It was a thrilling experience and would definitely book again.

Pros: - Epic scenery - Friendly & attentive crew - Unforgettable adventure Cons: - Expensive, but in hindsight āworth itā - Families with children made it less enjoyable for couples This was a trip we looked forward to the most after planning our trip to Kauai, but wondered if the price would justify the experience. Looking back after our trip after it concluded Iām glad we went. The Capt. Andy crew was amazing! They made sure to point out points of interest, sharing the history of the island, and answering our stupid questions. In case you were wondering⦠no. Neneās donāt swim, and sunset green flashes are real. Go figure. If i could suggest one thing about our trip it would be⦠i wish there was an adult-only cruise so the parents could act like adults, and the couples wouldnāt be subjected to the parents socially unaware children impacting their āexpensive tripā. If you have the funds to take your kids on a $225 sightseeing cruise where they spent the majority of the time seasick and occupying the ābest-seat-in-houseā⦠iām happy for you. You should take them on the family cruise where your kids can be among others their on age, and the adults without kids could enyoy there time together. If there was an adult-only cruise⦠we would have booked that one over the family friendly one we were on. Barren, Jackson, Cherry, and Mark⦠thank you very much. My wife and i had a great time, and hope to sail with you again.
