Love the slots. Good with the free gifts, & free play. Buffet is real good & cafe both have friendly staff. Drink servers are friendly, sometimes do take a while though (maybe need a few more?). People cleaning bathrooms & game area very good ( I try to tip them bc I know they don’t get tips like wait & game staff). Been coming for a long time. Gave TC a 4 star bc Usually play 3rd flr bc of too much smoke in 1 & 2 go home smelling bad. And unfortunately players very dirty just throw butts & napkins on floor, spilling drinks on machines. Some times very crowded & but people playing more than one machine, or holding machines with/without $ in them for long periods, so it makes it hard to find a machine to play. Should be stopped. Actually once a woman was holding a machine for her husband for long time on 3rd floor while after calling him found out he’s playing tables on the 1st floor & kept saying he was coming. I think there should be a time limit on holding machines. ESP being it is a smaller casino. I love the blonde lady named Moe. She is always making sure things are good in all areas I see her. Also, Jack, the host, is very pleasant and checks on players. ** 2/3/21.....This casino has gone down since it reopened. No free food like used to get buffets or $ for cafe. No gifts, rarely have hot seats, free play is nothing compared to other casinos, they do not have a hotel to offer rooms, nothing! If you play $500 & lose, you don’t build up $ for food automatically like other casinos. You have to go beg a slot attendant to call to see if you might get $15. Lost $500- $1,100 in a night and have been told can’t get a $15 comp for food! And the Host, Jack, is the worse one, he checks on ya but don’t ask him for a comp. Matt, Joy, Julie, Lisa are very nice and know their regulars mean more than $15 to eat, after losing hundreds of $. Do your self a favor and go to the coast!!! Or even Harrahs. I never play there (maybe 2x/yr) and got 2 nights free & free-play just this week! Not begging anymore after losing hundreds/night. Oh, and don’t get to loud and excited while playing w/friends & win something for a change, bc you’ll be told to quiet down! You’re too loud! Really!? The machines are louder than the people playing them. **1/25/22Update : Lisa, Julie, security Kelly, Reynaldo, slot tech, Charlotte, the best they cheer ya on to win!, all the cafe peeps are the best!!! I enjoy TC! Just wish slots were looser so I could share on a...
Read moreThe Treasure Chest Casino is a riverboat casino that is located at the end of Williams Blvd on the edge of Lake Pontchartrain. At night it is beautifully lit with many lights. There is a very large parking area across from it where shuttles run back and forth. (If staying at the Hilton and have nice weather, it is a nice walk over to the casino.) I think that some expect a very large “Las Vegas style” casino....this is a riverboat...and is a nice casino and atmosphere. The casino consisted of three floors....was nice and clean, had many games, slots, and table games, a Caribbean showroom, and the Vista buffet. The restrooms were also nice and clean. A great asset to Boyd Gaming and to Treasure Chest Casino was J. JoDon, the Executive Casino Host. He was professional, courteous, very nice and friendly.....with a wonderful personality. I was also very impressed with the excellent customer service and the friendliness and helpfulness from every employee/staff person I encountered during my visits. While playing video poker some couples came in that were “regulars”.....were such a delight! They quickly became friends and assisted me with so much advice and info for an upcoming wedding. Following another visit, my family and I visited the buffet....delicious! All the food “stations” had a great selection and variety of food, were displayed well, and employees were all smiling, pleasant, and helpful. The food was fresh, hot, and seasoned well. (I especially liked the pot roast that day.) Our server was excellent...also very nice and friendly...very attentive. Although I can not say that I was a winner at the machines, I would say that I did “win” by meeting some of the nicest and friendliest people that I...
Read moreIt's pretty cool & laid back, only if they wasn't so tight on their payouts, basically meaning u can lose up to 250-400 dollars before winning only 100 dollars I should know I did that before, then the waitress some smile & even joke with u when taking your order on drinks, while others have these jacked up attitudes, my thing is if u don't like your job quit, but in the end Boomtown winning, meaning I played 50 dollars and won a little over 200 and then I turn around and played 100 dollars and literally won 800 and something, their payouts are Great!!! And the waitress always on time. If you have customers gambling their money and losing their money a little to quit u Shouldn't make them wait 20mins before serving them, at this point they becoming Aggitated, must keep your customerstimes. It's ok to lose but not lose Everytime. And this Treasure chest I'm referring to. I been to treasure chest maybe 7 times and Everytime I walked out I didn't have a dime to my name, and it's because we work super hard to try & win what we already lost to where we lose it all. I love BoomTown and the casino in Lafayette, always a happy customer, happy customers come back, Aggitated, frustrated customers search for new locations with better payouts, I would upload my lost pictures but just know I ain’t bitter & don’t mine loosing a little but those slot machines is too uptight I mean too uptight & seems 2 only have very few who really win & it’s looking mighty sketchy all I’m saying from all the things I heard from customers , it’s getting real slow for...
