Chills Froyo & Custard — Attraction in Kennewick

We LOVE Chills. The frozen custard is so addicting but so good. And being right next to the Kennewick Fairchild theaters, it’s a great place for a treat before or after a movie.

Because we’ve been there more times than we care to admit publicly, (haha) I’d like to address a negative review posted earlier about the staff not wearing masks. There’s not been one time I’ve been in that store during covid where they all haven’t been wearing a mask. Some even wear a shield and a mask. The place is spotless and they even go to great lengths to make sure you’re using clean utensils EVERY TIME for the add ons. I think there was likely way more to the story on that negative post. Maybe a competitor or just another ridiculous “Karen”. Either way, it was unfair and unnecessary. I normally enjoy this place, I appreciate the non dairy flavors. I was very dismayed to arrive tonight to see three people inside, two behind the counter one not, all not wearing masks. If you’re employees on a break, why not eat in the back instead to maintain a safe space for customers? We walked up, paused in the hopes they would put them on. It was very evident they saw us, but nothing. It makes me wonder, if they are this lax for one health mandate are other precautions being observed? We headed to another froyo spot. The staff is always friendly, and you can often find the owner there, ensuring that every customer has a great experience—her presence really adds a personal touch.
