I live in Toronto and went to Pasco to visit my daughter and her family which includes 2 young children... my grandson is 4 1/2 and we were celebrating my granddaughter's 2nd birthday during my visit. Since she was really too young to understand what a 'birthday party' was my daughter and her husband decided instead that we would spend the day doing things their little girl loved... hence the Gesa Carousel of Dreams. I was intrigued and charmed by the whole concept of what this place was... a truly amazing and safe environment for families to enjoy. There is an awesome collection of playground equipment for the kids and inside the building on the premises there is a magnificent carousel... the Carousel of Dreams. The carousel is absolutely beautiful and has quite the history... its origin was actually on the east coast of North America over a century ago and it has been incredibly well preserved. While a few of the animals have had to be replaced most are the original ones that were created in the beginning of the 20th century! They are simply gorgeous... the whole carousel is! This is one place I would want to visit every time I manage to get over there to Pasco for a visit. I recommend this attraction to everyone... young and old will truly enjoy it! Oh and there is a small snack bar inside the carousel building and they had some lovely carousel horse figurines in various sizes so of course I had to get one of the large musical ones for myself... I have it on my bookshelf in my 'office' and every time I look at it it takes me back to the...
Read moreIt's $3 a ride. A little pricey, but very well maintained. Inside with air condition, a splash park behind it for little kids, and a jungle gym park. They also have concessions inside, but prepare to cringe.
Update: The owner asked me to state why their concessions were cringe worthy. Perhaps they wanted me to reevaluate my thoughts on the review and contemplate whether I should have put it lower or not. Simply put, the concessions are high priced as typical for most concessions stands. In a world where everything is top dollar, carousel of dreams is no different. I could go into detail about actual prices, but I'm sure they fluctuate to some extent and don't want to outdate my review. Just expect to pay a lot, or bring your own stuff and go over to the park and enjoy...
Read moreThis a fun filled spot to bring friends, family or anyone looking for a fun nostalgic experience. The ride costs a little more than I would have thought (they did have a large amount to pay down for getting this structure where it is today) but all in all it is a wonderful place for your children to have a blast. The Husky and Cougar animals are a cute nod to our main universities here in WA State. Your child needs to be 42" or taller in order to ride solo, but they won't charge if you have to sit/stand with a youngster. The best time to go is when they are having events. You can usually find a deal on coins through a third party deal site. It can get rather crowded pretty quickly, so always plan on showing up and leaving...
