First, I might say, what a beautiful library is very clean, organized, quiet and friendly. Before I even got in, I noticed you could return your books outside in the drop boxes, which makes it nice if you don't have time to go in. Well, the reason for my visit is I wanted to get my G.E.Dso I was hoping they had a book that I could check out to help me study. They did the G.E.D test prep 2022-2023. I haven't been to the library in years nor do I know my way around one (which I hope to eventually learn) I'll admit not a lot has changed in the way you check them out although they do give you a magnet and a key ring card now which makes it nice not having to dig for your card oh and let me mention that they even have a selection of cards to choose from, I went with the mountain view so beautiful. Veronica is the one that helped me check out so nice and friendly and did a very good job explaining everything to me, even explaining about their website, which I'm about to dive into. After creating a pin with Veronica it was very easy to login into my account from there I couldn't believe all the amazing stuff you can do and research, I even put a book on hold and they messaged me when it was ready to pick up which was within that hr. So not knowing much about the library I went back up there to ask about this book And where it was put on hold low and behold there was a rack and in alphabetical order, they were all placed how nice and convenient. Also, when I was leaving, a lady was sitting charging and might have even been using Wi-Fi. That's so nice and helpful to so many, so thank you, Mid Columbia Library, for helping so many out. This place is high on my recommend list! UPDATE: I went there today to see if they could help me print out a return label, and with no surprise, the young lady was so helpful and walked me through the whole process. It's amazing what can be done with technology. 👍Also, i figured it would cost something, right? Nope, you get 5 free prints a day (I think she said a day), so thank you, Veronica, for being very patient and helpful every time I come in. Have a...
Read moreTo The person that said they played RuneScape here back in the day same same but around 2006 .somtimes I would have all my older siblings library cards (4) plus mine . After finishing my time at keeweydin I would catch the bus with a older kid from middle school or high school (they wouldn’t let little kids on the bus alone ) all the way here just to play RuneScape … the good old days before the government and phones ruined society….
Anyways this library use to be a bank I think before it was turned into a library that’s why it looks like a bank from the entrance with the wall … the bathrooms are at the entrance so are going to be used by the worst of the worst .. men’s bathroom has blood splatters from needles and are always having toilets or urinals out of service.. this library is visited by every kind of person you can think of in society, it gives homeless a place to get away from the freezing cold in the winter and deadly heat waves in the summer . The dudes come to check out girls and girls come to act like they don’t want attention wearing almost nothing in the summer.. then there is the people who actually come to read books or use Wi-Fi .. but it’s been a safe place so far even the thugs pay their respects to the library...
Read moreWonderful facilities and a great selection of books. The staff is where this establishment really suffers. It is beyond noisy and the staff has not once even attempted to subdue outbursts. I thought the library was supposed to be a quiet, relaxing place. Goodluck focusing between people having full volume phone conversations and the girl who works there with colored hair shouting about masks at every little opportunity, and the persistent homeless patrons in the parking lot it's safe to say Kennewick library is on...
