I have been living on the north side of Kenosha since we bought our home 2 years ago! I am a HUGE drive up/pick-up gal from other larger grocery stores due to the convenience but, when needed for last minute items I go up the road to Piggly Wiggly on the northside once or twice a week. I have noticed a few times when I am there how unfriendly the staff is. They never greet their customers or say goodbye. They are often found all together talking at the cashier registers. Since they have installed the new self check out feature I often check out there instead to avoid their staff all together. Today, when checking out I scanned the wrong card at check out and when pulling out my correct card a lady who was not the self check out cashier came up to me and said "the wic benefits card" is not accept at that register. First and foremost, I was not buying any WIC brand items NOR do I receive state benefits. I can't help but, to think that she said that because I am young Hispanic female. Similar encounters have happened before at this store. This will be the last time I will spend my hard earned money there. I never leave reviews but, I have been profiled one to...
Read moreThe Deli employees are AWFUL! Theg turn around and see you standing there but complete dismiss you, which has on many occasions to take five minutes to actually speak to you. Today I asked in much detail how I needed my ham to be sliced but she sliced it the way she wanted to (thin sliced). When I said I asked for shaved ( as in falling apart), she got upset. She did do what I asked for but said to her co-worker, I'm going to be here until 4 o'clock tonight, which several other customers beside myself heard. I told her that as long as it was being a problem to just give me what was sliced, oh no, she would redo it. I usually go across town to the Pig because of these issues and they are EVERY TIME. Please give these people some Customer Service Training but I'm not sure that...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly smiles, clean aisles, and a layout that actually makes sense. The produce is always fresh, the meat and seafood departments are top-notch, and they carry a fantastic selection of local and specialty products you won’t find anywhere else.
What really sets them apart, though, is the customer service. The staff go out of their way to help you find what you need, and they’re genuinely happy to be there. The prices are fair, the store is always well-stocked, and I never leave without finding something new I love.
If you are not a regular, you are missing out. This is the grocery store to...
