Update: Aldi's cashiers are timed & have to ring up so many items per hour/shift. Unload all your heavy items 1st, have your payment ready, & move to the packing area to bag your groceries. Boxes are free, so grab the empty boxes if you don't have bags. Original Post: There were some of the normal good deals, but nothing spectacular. There were no really great discounts on after Christmas items, or anything actually. And although Aldi is a German owned store (as is Trader Joe's, owned by the other brother), it seems they would sell items the local customers would want. There were no New Year's foods on display or sale. The store still has a lot of good bargains. The cashier seemed rushed, and was tossing my groceries into the cart. She tossed a head of cabbage onto a pizza, and was putting the groceries into the cart haphazardly.

UPDATE: Trashy sidewalk last week where the Aldi carts sit. Today there is an Hispanic woman standing by the carts holding a sign and panhandling patrons for their cart quarters. Where is management for this store??? Looks like a third world mess.

Newly renovated. I love the "middle isle". I found a queen size airbed with the built-in air pump for only $39.99. A really great deal. I have bought this before from Aldi and they last forever. Right now they have lots of garden stuff.

A great help to your budget in this economy This Aldi is right next to a dollar tree store and still beats some of the prices so you know they are serious about wanting your business. I've never gotten any bad food but as usual you want to check the expiration dates as you would any other grocery store. They also have a couple Isles of sometimes one-of-a-kind housewares so you may want to check that out also for some excellent buys. I recommend shopping here to see if they have what you're looking for before you go somewhere else for your grocery shopping. Update: like everywhere else prices have gone up. But, you can still find the occasional bargain and odd item at a discount. Beware of a few prices that can still be the same elsewhere! Update: Oct 3, 2022 Like everywhere else Aldi stores are trying to keep their overall costs low. There are seldom more than one cashier open and quite often that one cashier is trying to manage quantities of stock near his register. On the positive side at least all the Aldi's I've been to have had customer restrooms open, clean and available without having to stand in line to ask for a key! This has become a major issue to me and I have stopped going to other retailers who claim that for the last year and a half they've had a plumbing problem and they refuse to let customers use employees restrooms! ...

Our local store. Manager very helpful. Employees hard working like beavers sadly this location has been robbed more than one time we are cautious as to time we go. They need more trustworthy employees. One precious lady, sits in a chair. She has to be the breadwinner of her family. She's so kind. I understand the truck comes once weekly. They never know what's on the truck. Supplies can't get thru the Panama canal! Got that understood. People are homeless, stealing. Hungry. I ordered a case of an.item to be shipped to this store, paid in full. My name and number provided. I went to store to pick it up. Manager wasn't sure if it was on truck. Newsflash. It was. After being very serious I am not leaving. Find it. The big was open 3 items missing. OH I understand. Whoever picked up that box took their box knife. Zip, why? So you owe me 3 other items on the shelf my choice? Now what. Even if we try to order by the case. What's the odds of getting anything without somebody following up? Hummmm. I am waiting 4 answer. We are good customers I. Our community, caching goes the...

So I'm a big fan of Aldi for what it is. What do I mean by that - Aldi stocks about 1400 items compared to a traditional grocery store which stocks about 40,000 - so you are not going to find everything you need, but what you do find will be the cheapest around. Aldi used it's own store brands for just about everything - that is why they are so cheap. On my weekly shopping trips I start with Aldi, then move to Costco, then to a regular grocery store. So what do I bu? Aldi - bread (12 grain loaf - $1.95 versus $4), crackers (their wheat thins, triscuits, ritz etc... .95 versus several $s), milk, yogurt, cream cheese, orange juice, pineapple juice, oat and almond milk, wine, hamburger, baking supplies, chocolate, bagged cheese, frozen french fries, canned veggies, and the list goes on.... I like buying beef, pork, and seafood at costco (I like the quality and price points). But I by the basics at Aldi and save a ton of money! Try it for what it is.....you just might become an...
